At that time it was expected the storm due for the South of England this morning to have just swept across. But it was due to be dry for the rest of the day.
So the pitch will be at its worst then.
Very likely to be off I would think.

Typically the weather has been fine all afternoon, sunny with a blowing (drying ?) wind - perhaps some work by their groundsman could've pulled it all together in time.
Ah, the benefits of hindsight eh ? 
I started out with nothing and I've still got most of it left !
