I would think the game is in some doubt due to the freezing weather. I remember walking about 8 miles to their ground once only to find out that the game had been called off at 2:45 due to a frozen postage stamp sized piece of turf near the corner flag.

I've already prayed to the Sun Gods in the hope of raising the temperature a degree or two

Well......I've checked the BBC weather (which isn't the most reliable admittedly) which says that although the temperature is low, that the sun should be out.....so fingers crossed. Take it Andy will be along in the morning with his trusty updates : )

I'll of course post when I can. The forecast for Bromley is -2 overnight and not rising above 4 degrees all day so there is a doubt about the game going ahead. Will keep you posted.

I remember that as well Endo.
They had all their squad running up and down on that patch of grass in an attempt to warm it up a bit.
It did not work.
Don't think it is due to warm up during the day as much as it has over the last few days.
And no thawing will have happened by 10am anyway. Very early inspection for two quite local teams?
Fear the worst.

10am seems a bit early. Why not midday and give it a chance.

Not looking great so far. In our league, the Herne Bay/Three Bridges game off, along with East Grinstead/Godalming. In the north, Ware/Waltham Abbey off too (included for completeness)......plenty of other inspections listed, including our own which will be taking place as I write this.........
