Latest injury news
Don't know if people follow the official facebook page or not, but they have reported that Jake Baxter has started some light training, although it doesn't look as if he'll play this season. Matte Pierson has a ligament tear and although he doesn't need an op he probably won't play again this season. So even more well done to the management for keeping hold of Kyle Merson who I think has played really well since coming into the team. Does anyone know where he's been playing since August because he hasn't looked rusty at all.
Worse news for Fabio Nunes who made such a strong impression on his introduction to first team football, as his ligament injury WILL require surgery and this type of injury can take quite a few months to recover fully.

I read somewhere that Kyle was playing for the U21s until Matte's injury. Someone correct me if that is wrong.

In the handful of U21 games that I've watched the goalie has been Liam Sallis although I think Matte Pierson played in one game. Haven't seen Kyle play for the U21's but I could be wrong. Liam looks a real prospect. Tim Marcus will know for sure, he's always there.

You are correct BEU. Liam is the regular 'keeper for the U21s now (Think we also have a lad there called James Thorpe but he has been out with a foot injury since early on in the season). Matte did play one game for them when Liam had to pull out injured at the last minute however Kyle has not appeared for the U21s at all this season - and despite not looking rusty, whilst I stand to be corrected, I don't believe he has been playing anywhere else since becoming unavailable back in September

I think Kyle Merson is just as good as Matt Peirson so I don't think we will really miss him but still a real shame. Great news about Jake Baxter though.
