Dulwich Hamlet 3-3 Tooting & Mitcham UnitedBy Liam Hickey, 5th Aug 2014A thoroughly entertaining conclusion to pre season as both sides traded spectacular goals.Dulwich took a 5th minute lead as Jordan Hibbert thumped home from 20 yards after being set up by Laurent Hamici. Kershaney Samuels then had a shot blocked as The Hamlet pressed forward.
Nyren Clunis then had a shot tipped over & Michael Kamara saw his header comfortably saved.
A mistake from Inigo Echepare then presented the ball to TJ Nkoma who fired wide but would not be so wasteful next time as he found space in between defenders and brought the visitors level in the 27th minute.
Dulwich went straight up the other end where Jordan Hibbert brought a good save out of Smith in the visitors goal.
Ex Hamlet man Jordan Clarke then brought a good stop out of Echepare before poor defending left Howard Newton in the clear and he unselfishly squared for Nkoma to tap home his second.
The visitors lead lasted only 5 minutes before Matthew Parsons laid the ball off to Nyren Clunis who unleashed an unstoppable right footed shot from the left hand angle of the penalty area.
The Hamlet had two further chances in the last minute of the half. Good work from Jordan Hibbert & Michael Kamara saw Laurent Hamici head narrowly wide and then Nyren Clunis set up Dean Lodge who hit a weak shot straight at the keeper.
Half Time 2-2
Dulwich were almost ahead within a minute of the restart as Kevin James put his header narrowly wide but it was Tooting who went ahead on 56 minutes as Sol Pinnock curled home a delightful shot from the edge of the box.
Dulwich were back on level terms in the 65th minute as Kershaney Samuels unleashed a drive from 30 yards in to the bottom corner.
There was no further score despite the beat endeavours of both sides and both sides now move on to the season proper.
Final Score 3-3
Attendance 373.
