This is more of a stunning signing. I haven't really seen him play, but to play over 200 games for Hendon tells me a he's a good player. To pick up the captain of a premier league team must be regarded as a coup, regardless of the circumstances.

And regardless of the fact he's a Bona Fide Headbanger. Be interesting to see if he's in the squad on Saturday, I hope he is.

Does anyone know if he played in either of the LSC Finals against us ?

He definitely didn't play last season, as he was on an, err, extended break from the game. Dunno about the previous year.

When you say 'extended break' I presume you mean 12 week ban for chinning somebody ?

The violent, psychopathic, black Scotsman in Porridge was called McLaren wasn't he ? I wonder if they're related

Tony Osoba? That's brilliant Geoff. He was one of the actors featuring in one of the funniest gags in the show....
Fletcher, McClaren and Warren are heading to the education room each holding a satsuma, a table tennis ball, and a football.
Mr Mackay sees them, "Hang on a minute, what have you men got there?" "Balls Mr. Mackay" quips Fletcher.
Mr.Mackay, thinking he is clever, replies "Why the different sizes?" "That's life sir!!!" says Fletcher.......

For only what I have seen of him in the past I do believe he will give us that extra bite in midfield

Although he was only on the pitch today for a relatively short time, I must say he was very impressive, you can see why he was Hendon`s captain, his ability is unquestionable and the problem now that Frank and Paul have, albeit a good one, is who will they drop to allow him to take their place.
He has to start next Saturday for what will be one of our toughest games in the run in.
Prior to Christmas I did not wish to think of winning this division for fear of being over optimistic and would have accepted a play off spot, but not now, and this is not being over optimistic but the way we have been and are playing should have the players and us supporters alike, thinking, it is now ours to lose.
The score today does not do the game, or the team justice, some of the approach work and movement was top drawer and with so few games left this is when we need to play to this standard.
Well done lad`s, every one of you.

From what I have heard Gary, I feel it might be better for our club if his brother is not allowed to join, a leopard does not change his spots.
By the way sorry I did not answer your question regarding the clock, the person in question who offered it to me can be sometimes still be seen at the club, if I see her I will ask, she does sometimes work behind the bar but I do not know her name.
