1 down and 2 to go! 3 consecutive away games in a crucial 7 days, started with a fabulous win at Lewes, and on paper the hardest of the 3 fixtures.
Cray Wanderers are next up and also want to get promoted. Always a difficult team to beat at home, but this is a must win game for the Terrors. As stated on another post, the playing surface at Hayes Lane is to be desired and will impact quality football. Bromley had one of the best playing surfaces for years, sadly this has declined. A couple of seasons ago they were going to install a 3G pitch. This was abandoned when they realised they would not make the Conference. However the rules were changed, hence Maidstone and Sutton playing on 3G pitches. Any further hopes of promotion will be thwarted as the EFL does not allow play on this alien surfaces!
The last of the 3 fixtures at Godalming may prove a "Banana Skin waiting to happen. Planted rock bottom of the League with only 15 points and 109 goals against this seems a simple walkover. Our home game was a narrow victory by 1-0!
The Terrors need to be switched on for these 2 vital away games, especially after the superb performance at Lewes. With only 12 fixtures left the Terrors need to keep the pressure on Dorking Wanderers, and take advantage of all points on offer. I am sure the team and fans are totally up for it.
