Tooting Graveney

Congratulations on your league success. Well done!

This is a long shot but is a question about a league success many years ago! I was hoping to get in contact with someone with an interest in the history of your club. Is there anyone on your forum that might be able to help?

I am an amateur football historian and I am trying to trace the origins of a medal given to a Scottish footballer. The medal has the following engraving “J. Cousar CDFL 1899-1900”. We know the recipient of the medal and that he was living in Lambeth at this time. Earlier help has suggested that given where he lived and the date then CDFL is probably the Clapham & District Football League. In 1889/1900 the Senior Division of the League was won by Tooting Graveney, one of the early clubs in your history.

I am trying to see if that is the origin of the medal. If anyone can help that would be great. If not, carry on celebrating!
