COACH TO NEEDHAM MARKET

YOUR CLUB NEEDS YOU. The supporters club & members club are sharing the cost of the players coach to Needham Market next saturday. The coach will be leaving Imperial Fields at 09.45. the fare will be £21, this could be reduced if the coach gets full. If we are to go down, lets go down fighting (I DONT MEAN FIGHTING) I mean getting behind the team. For booking your seat see Dave Irons or Tim Marcus. Hurry before all seats are taken. COME ON YOU TERRORS

" .....this should be free ..... "

..and just who do you think is going to pay for the cost of the coach then ???  Money for all of this just doesn't get plucked out of the air !!

I started out with nothing and I've still got most of it left !

Taking about the coach and game tomorrow with weather being so rubbish at the minute and pitch inspection likely. Anybody no what time a pitch inspection or clarification would be told to us fans as many will be travelling on train as well and will lose money if they start there journey with no prevail.

Re: COACH TO NEEDHAM MARKET

I thought last season was a return of the "good old days" it does not get any better than that!
I still do not get why a  lot of people think Steve Adkins should dip into his pocket, he is running a business after all, and considering we are the weakest link, would they throw more money at the team than he is already.
Words like "bottomless pit" spring to mind
Be realistic!

Re: COACH TO NEEDHAM MARKET

I agree but the Dulwich money is free money because its money he would never of had if they had not been evicted. The gate goes to them  but match day revenue could add a few fresh faces. Ive been home and away and very loyal but things need to change. Maybe the squad could be added to for the fight. Burgess hill today have signed 3 new players so are up for a fight are we ??

Re: COACH TO NEEDHAM MARKET

I noticed the Burgess Hill signings as well TPF, but we do not goes on behind the scenes.
Like yourself I go home and away, but I look at the whole experience, I know some of the games have been really poor and likewise the results, but you can not beat discussing the team and their performances, over a pint with like minded disillusioned souls like ourselves, it can take some of the pain away.
Roll on Monday as I can not make tomorrow, although I fear it may not go on.
But the beer and banter will be good.

Re: COACH TO NEEDHAM MARKET

It is about ambition: what is the chairman's ambition for the club?  Is he happy for us to be a jobbing Dvision One South team or does he want the team playing at higher level?  We do not know because we, as paying supporters, are never told.

Whatever division a team is promoted out of results in coming up against teams of a higher standard in the new division.  I think that most of us supporters knew that is was going to be a tough season and realised that we required two or three more seasoned Premier Division players, not real quality, just good experienced players.  We had one in Kevin but let him go (now there is a story), and another in Chase.  Last years squad and under 23 players are not going to cut it in this league.  The two results against Staines and the away reslults against Hendon and Enfield showed us the gap and what sort of player was required to steady the ship.

So are we a jobbing Division One South side who bob along for ten season, have a good season with promotion, get a good kicking, get relegated and start again, or are we a club with a plan and ambition to play at a higher level?
