I note that due to the reduced number of teams in our league, we only have 2 evening fixtures planned for the upcoming season - both against Bedfont. I'm sure there'll be a few others once the bad weather has a say, and obviously the minor cups will all be midweek, but looks like there we'll be watching a bit more Holby this year.
Also, I notice that we have at least one fixture been shifted to Sunday to accommodate our tenants, who seem to have pulled rank on 9th Feb.
Not happy about that. Not particularly bothered about having a Sunday game, but its the principle that sticks in the craw.

it's down to the league, not the club, i believe.
Someone correct me if wrong.

Regarding the boxing day non-fixture, it turns out that the Bostik League approached its member clubs and asked them whether they would like to play over the holiday period or not. And it seems that most did NOT! There is only one game on boxing day. And we are one of 4 clubs who aren't playing on Saturday 29th December either - preferring to have our next fixture on 1st Jan. So in effect, we have a 10 day winter break.
