Looking for positives.

First impressions when reading the score today implies a bad loss. Loss yes, but not as bad as it might have been had the ten players not rolled their sleeves up and gave it their all in the second half.. All credit to the ten men they never lost heart which must give our coaching staff some consolation. The first half honours were fairly even and with a bit more luck had "Izzies" shot had a bit more power, we could have been going in at half time with a lead.
Danny will now have to pay the penalty for his poor tackle, personally I do not think that will be a bad thing as, full back is not his position and I wonder why the coaching staff keep playing him there.
On to the FA cup now where we can hopefully continue the cup run with a win.

Re: Looking for positives.

Out not of out depth and it showed! Poor finishing in the first half meant it was 0-0 went behind and we didn't know what to do

Re: Looking for positives.

I would argue that both sides missed chances, out of our depth, I thought not.
When we went behind and then down to ten men, and pretty soon after they increased their lead, I felt the team did not stop trying or loose heart.
I for one felt we gave a good account of ourselves, under the circumstances, and if the coaches re-think the right back position, because we do have three alternatives, then we can start to move forward.
No I feel the team have no reason to feel they let either themselves or the fans down.

Re: Looking for positives.

It's good to hear that the team did not give up despite the 3 goal deficit. Thanks for the feedback from the game, much appreciated.

Re: Looking for positives.

One shot on target is not good enough. I don't disagree that the players gave their best and didn't stop trying I just don't think we're good enough to be competing with the teams at the top of this very poor league. 3 at the back is not working. Bassett is not a wing back that needs to be looked at. We need a number 9 for Billy to play off he can't do all the running himself. We need one or two experienced players to steady the ship. This won't happen tho. When things go wrong we don't really have a plan b either. It's my opinion it's negative and that how I saw the game!

Re: Looking for positives.

That’s right wolfie the players are out of position to be classed as one of the favourites to go up is a joke mid table me thinks as for Dunn I never seen a player so out of condition as he was on Saturday
