The 'Battlaxe' allowed me to make a rare appearance last night and I enjoyed a thoroughly entertaining game. We pretty much dominated the whole 90 minutes, I don't think our goalie was forced into a save worthy of the name. The highly impressive Coleman and Elijah (is that how you spell it ?) Simpson scored our goals in the first half and despite wave after wave of attacks in the second half we couldn't add to our tally, Wedgie coming closest when he rattled the post after a sexy fluid move that left their portly keeper rooted to the spot. Funniest comment of the night came unsurprisingly from Tim Megone when Billy Dunn was introduced from the bench, Tim shouted " Oi goalie, you're not the fattest player on the pitch anymore"......the goalie turned round and laughed to be fair to him. Attendance 70 (4 from Margate that I counted, one of whom was under pension age).
* It should be added that it was an understrength Margate side that was handed this Football lesson.

A good result even though Margate had a a side of youngsters could have had more if we was a bit more accurate with there long balls thought Clements had a good first half and Coleman was pushing all the time great body strength Dunn I am afraid his a liability just slogged around the pitch tried to keep up with play he has got to work on his fitness can’t see any change in the near future shame if he was halfway there he would be a threat to our opponents
