WHY HAS THE PITCH BEEN MADE SO NARROW
Genuine question from Dave Irons ( no computer )
Can anyone official or otherwise tell me the reason for the pitch width being made so narrow, i already wear glasses i dont need binoculars. Sensible question anybody know ?

I guess the pitch sizes still have a minimum and maximum length and width?
I'd like to say it was a tactical decision but even I can't stop laughing at that suggestion

Probably don’t need that much ground to maintain, seeing at this rate we’ll see a load of kids chucking Tellytubby toys and teddy bears about the place

Apparently the groundsman alters the pitch width every 2 years to preserve the pitch.
