Thatcham Town

If Tooting don't win tonight's easy of easy games in this diabolical league , they are truly in it up to  their necks, and can look forward to  the combined counties league!

Re: Thatcham Town

Well, that went well.  A crowd of just 91 brave souls turned up to watch the match which sums things up really.

Re: Thatcham Town

Another nail in the coffin then.
Despite the letter from the supporters club and the members club response still no decisions or action from
Adkins and co or am i still being negative you adkins apologists.
The pitiful crowd figure of 91 should tell you everything you need to know you are gradually allowing this club to drift into oblivion.

Re: Thatcham Town

Also i have just heard from a reliable source that a very senior person from the members stated that the
manager is safe and is part of the overall plan, if that is the case then there is truly no bleeding hope.!!!!!!!!!!

Re: Thatcham Town

Does anyone out there know if this is a record low attendance for a league match at Imperial Fields?

In terms of league matches at IF, I think it is a new low.  I was one of the 97 at the Egham match in early 2004 and cannot recall anything lower than that, until yesterday.

conference standard stadium im not on twitter could someone enlighten Ian as to the reasons this once great club is going to the dogs.

Re: Thatcham Town

Look on the bright side.  We've got Guernsey at home next.  Now that MUST be three points for us.

Re: Thatcham Town

You will be pleased to know that the figure for the Bedfont game is incorrect- it should be 119. So yesterday is a new unwanted record.

Re: Thatcham Town

Ev the dog has admitted to being one of the six that absconded last night.

Who were the other five?

97 v Egham on 25th September 2004

But only 91 v Thatcham on 20th December 2022

Who are the gang of five ? ?

Re: Thatcham Town

I’v got to hand it to Ashley that when the pressure is on he doesn’t wilt.  Under his tenacious leadership it will take a team a lot worse than ours to knock us of the bottom spot.  The teams above us had a go today but we were not deviated from our course and we managed a sending off.

A good day at the office.

Re: Thatcham Town

As soon as you look at the team sheet and see Jaiden Chang and Kylie Curlew-Wright are playing you know it's pretty much doomed. How many new players again? Are we going for the 60+ record of last season?

James Shaw (according to his Twitter) dropped on 7 Jan. Thought he was doing ok. Travers started ok and always on the bench. Enoch always puts in a shift with passion. Always on the bench. Are they dropped or injured?

What would we give to have Walters and Williams and Wedgie and Jelly with us now?

Don’t beat yourself up about it Andy.  Be like the rest of the realists and just accept that the club/ business/ project isn’t about the first team success or the fans.  You will then feel a lot better.
