Dan, I beg to disagree with you, the club is not dead! There is no such club, indeed it’s only a name registered with the FA, the Football Team are a very small part of a vanity and development project off the back of Merton Council. As I have said before “the real football club legacy of Sandy Lane was given away in 2005”. They would have been better off using the money to pay off debts and start again from scratch. Look at the clubs at our dreadful level who play on parks or farmyards. But led by Adkins and his head puppet Woolley they have creamed everything, and we are now left with a team in the gutter, or perhaps down the drain and heading for the sewer.
We supposed to be community football club, every club in the country is now linked to the community, the only difference is all other the Football club come first, whereas the Tooting football team are last in the pecking order. All this thanks to football team not being protected during the shenanigans of the buyout in 2005, and the gullible and totally naïve Football committee at the time!
I have still not seen a response from that idiot “Joe Simple” when I asked him to review all the clubs at our level to see if he could spot the operational difference and structure between our football team and the rest”
The Members club with it worthless shares in the main company are not even a glorified supporters club. WOOLLEY you should have resigned year s ago especially after our fiasco of a meeting with supporters direct!
As for the current football team manager, he should have resigned at the end of last season! However, he has the safest job in non-league football! It won’t make any difference who manages the team until the whole structure which exists at Imperial Fields is drastically changed. But we all know this won’t happen!

Of course you are correct in everything you say i dont have your words i just feel incredibly sad and depressed that the team i have followed and watched since i was a kid have sunk to this level.

I agree with you Dan, such a sad end to a team, I am gutted how it all got to this position!!!!!!. Over the decades I remember watching most of the Athenian League winning team in their first season in the Isthmian league. Then at the height of Amateur football, witnessing Tooting winning the Isthmian league twice.
