What pleased me the most about this competitive match was the celebrations by the
Tooting players, bench, and supporters, when we scored the winning goal.
If there was ever a moment of player unity it was shown, then.
Alton were good, very good, especially their No 7 & No 9, but we contained them,
and scored the winning good at the very end of the match.
They were devastated, hands on the back of their heads wondering what had happened.
Too late to come back. It was over, and three worthy points on the board.
I’m sure they will continue with the same fighting spirit when we play AFC Croydon in
the FA Cup this coming Saturday. They will take confidence, and with a good crowd
behind them they will be looking to book their place in the next round.
Well done lads, it’s slowly coming together. Keep the faith!
