A Question to Ponder

I was talking to a friend of mine who supports maidstone and I asked him a question and was taken aback with his answer so I will put the question on here.

'Would you rather a run in a domestic cup Fa Cup or Fa Trophy and jeopardise your promotion push, or would you rather get knocked out of every cup competition  and get promoted'

His answer was get knocked out and he reckons the fa cup would damage maidstones project promotion.

What do you guys reckon?

I was lost but now im found

Re: A Question to Ponder

I can see that a run in the FA Cup may be annoying for top-flight teams or League teams, but for a semi-pro team playing in a division like ours, a great run in the FA Cup would only boost confidence and morale!! Imagine the feeling, not just amongst the players but also the fans if we reached the first, second or third round of the FA Cup!! It would also bring more people to games, so to say it would jeopardise promotion chances is ridiculous!

Re: A Question to Ponder

I'd swap an FA Cup 1st round tie against a good league team instead of promotion. As for the Trophy, it would have to be Wembley over promotion
