What has gone wrong with tmufc

With the defeat today that is now seven games without a win. Is there a problem within or even unrest. I do hope it is only a blimp in a season that has been on the whole decent. Ever since the east Grinstead game, there seems something lacking, something different. Our play and togetherness doesn't seem the same. Losing too four of the top five teams is no disgrace, but if we are, sorry were going for promotion then it shows it isn't going to happen. Now we have teams that are lower in the table than us, can we beat them starting with Carshalton who won 5-3 today against south park.

Re: What has gone wrong with tmufc

Unfortunately i had to make do with the vidi printer today, to say i was bitterly disappointed at the end result is an understatement, but we all know Craig and Adam started with less than nothing and have taken us to where we are today, okay so a playoff place is looking slim, but it is obvious where we need to strengthen and i am sure this is something Craig will be working hard to resolve, nobody said it would be easy, or happen overnight and it is at times like this when we all need to stick together.

He scored again yesterday Gary in the Casuals' 2-3 win over W&H.

Re: What has gone wrong with tmufc

Has this point been mentioned to Craig, I am sure he would be  a strong enough personality  to accept a return would be to the clubs benefit.
Let us not forget, Jordan left to get game time, nothing wrong in that, and possibly now may regret it, seeing the results of late, I for one would welcome him back with open arms.
But, I ask the question, who would have to give way?

Re: What has gone wrong with tmufc

Yet again very disappointing yesterday. At least we seemed to get a few crosses in, but as usual nobody in the box to trouble their keeper, who had a very easy afternoons work. Is this a defensive tactic to not commit bodies to the opposition penalty area ? We have lots of posession but little end product and this is a problem as we're leaking goals at the other end.

As for Jordan Cheadle, I was very sad to see him go, if the idea was to sacrifice him to strengthen our defense this clearly hasn't worked. He has a casual style about him that might go against him if a pass goes astray but the plusses outweigh the negatives for me, he is a class act and I would love to see him back.

Re: What has gone wrong with tmufc

Very disappointed to learn of that result yesterday. Had hoped that would be the one where it turned around.
Not sure a rest is required for any but the marauding full backs perhaps.  Hardly an onerous fixture list recently, although I think Craig mentioned an ongoing groin strain for Dan in a recent programme.

This leading, then going behind and collapsing is a real concern.
We all have our own favs and different players provide different attacking/defending plus/minus options.
The current back 4 of Gordon, Graves, Gonzales and Jelly have looked really solid for long periods in recent games.  And then we suddenly let in what appear soft goals (unopposed headers from corners etc) and it all falls apart.    Very perplexing.

However, reports of past games in a recent Dee Pee programme reminded me just how miserable the merry go round of players/managers era really was.   I could not recall some of the players listed who were probably only with us for a week or two.

While this run is certainly frustrating, this is a zillion times better.
Success a against the Robins.

Programmes ??? Have you been sneaking looks at programmes over other people's shoulders again Bondy ??

Re: What has gone wrong with tmufc

Like most of us at the club, we all held JC in high esteem, yes he would make the odd silly error which when you are the last line of defence could be costly, but I would love to see the stats for goals conceded since he left from balls into the box, to now, this is said to be constructive not destructive as I also regard Lewis and David as a good pairing., but it is not rocket science to see where the problem lies.

That said, I still prefer matches played on that out of date grass surface.

You can guarantee the match wouldn't have gone ahead had we not put it down a 3G pitch!

Look forward to slower service that that at Three Bridges this Saturday, if past visits are anything to go by.
