Unable to get their tonight, dreaded MAN FLU kept me at home past two days, i gather it was a disappointing night, and we had a strong team out, in fact their were nearly as many players on the pitch as supporters in the crowd!
How did we play and how was the new centre forward?
Not wishing to appear defeatist, but our play off chances appear to be disappearing fast, still 54 points to play for so it is mathematically possible, but i feel now it might be a season too early.
Looking on the positive side though we do still have a playoff chance, albeit slight, and we are still in two cups, so it could be worse, and in the preceeding seasons it was.

You know I will always try and look on the bright side.
So I am simply going to ignore the misery of what we watched tonight and put my absolute faith in our current squad somehow being transformed back to the masterful, confident and imposing side they once were by next Saturday, going on to pick up all of those 54 points and easily making the play offs.
Now, I think I'll just have a few more of those pills before I go to bed.

So what happpened to the side that wth just ten men played so well against Carshalton? Why is there no consistancy? I see that Quarm was booked again. Not good.

I can't put my finger on it either. Is it the game plan? We're not passing through the middle, we're not getting to the by line, we're not playing the long ball. So what is our approach to getting the ball into the penalty area?
We looked at our best yesterday for about 15 mins after the subs came on as we suddenly seemed to be playing at double speed. And I think we do look better when there is a bit of pace in the game.
But yesterday was the day that I gave up hope of the play offs.

Yes Endo, I think our play-off hopes are down the tubes. Whilst Bondy's optimism is to be admired, it reminded me of a quote by an American comedian/social critic called George Carlin
No one ever says '' It's only a game '' when their team is winning.

Just a thought, our recent poor run seems to coincide with the change in the weather, and i am not just thinking of the last month!with the pitches becoming heavier, and subsequently may not suit the passing game we were all admiring a couple of months ago.
Just thought i would throw that in the mix, thoughts anybody?

Never got to that one buddy, thanks for the info. that was a 3g was it not? if so then our lads should have been more comfortable with it than most other visitors, good point.
