The Bog End faithfull shall mostly be meeting for pre-match cocktails (geddit ?) in the Cock & Dragon, a mere spit away from the ground.
(We shall not be duped in to the current fad and maniacal lust for sniffing out new and rarely used Wetherspoons establishments)

Some people are taking that a little too far I have to agree

Well, what an interesting evening, full of nail biting stuff. Penalties seems to be a regualr thing for us in the LSC now, and the relief as the last one was taken was evident in the shelter (stand).
Certainly a mimimal ground, but at least there wasn't any pipes or other debris there as at the Erith match. Shame about the second half and the fact we couldn't physically get behind the goal, but a permanant ball person in the field behind seemed rather amusing.
We were all well in time for the last tube home (which is just as well as DeePee, Bill, Bondy and I, joined by a man from Barking missed one on arrival at Cockfosters), much to the relief of a Cockfosters fan who assured us it was after midnight (after DeePee said "get on with it, last tube in a minute" in the penalites)

Highlights from last night:
- their No 2 taking a free kick in front of the dug outs. He managed to find what seemed a decent lie on their cabbage patch of a pitch, placed the ball and stepped away. But then he returned to pick up and discard a leaf even smaller than my manhood!
- Knocky virtually sprinting away from the scene of his mis judgement that led to their 2nd goal. "It was not me, honest Govn'r. I was nowhere near when it happened"
Any misjudgement could be forgiven.
Warm welcome from all at Cockfosters and their team gave it a real go.
Goal No 1 - See an opportunity, take that opportunity. A valuable lesson for us.
Bold run from the wide player who somewhat controversially decided to shot at the area inside the white posts, a feat that eluded our strikers time after time resulting in much ball fetching that seemed not to trouble the stop watch of the referee in either half.
Still, the players eventually got to grips with the very different tactic of the quick ball played forward behind/over their back 4 to be run on to and the job was done.
Onward and upward

Thank you for your top notch text service, Plumpton. Was following it from work and as each penalty was taken. You coulld feel the tension at Morden as each message arrived!!!! We're getting quite good at this penalty shootout lark. Good to see the Beast back on the scoresheet.
Now back to the league and the small matter of a nice easy home game against the only unbeaten side in the country!!!!
CRAIG TANNERS BLACK AND WHITE ARMY!!!!!!!

That's ok Fretty me old day trip to Sheerness. There was indeed tension at the ground, probably more from Cockfosters fans feeling dizzy with how full up the place was. The Ryman site shows attendance of 65, according to the net, the average at Cockfosters is only 57 (which is actually more than a couple of teams in the Ryman North )

"...........attendance of 65, "
And that doesn't account for those who just walked in from the park !
