For the away game I remember sitting watching Grandstand and the scores coming in on the 'Teleprinter ' as it was in those days, gutted as we went 2 down in no time and then almost disbelief as we scored 2 in no time at the death !!
So many memories of the home game, particularly the Swindon fans getting scattered from the Sandy Lane terrace before the start, at least they had the good sense not to gather at the Bog End which was packed with a volatile mix of Phipps Bridge hooligans, New Close gypsies and Chelsea fans, an intimidating place for the BIG games in those days the Bog End ! just ask Crystal Palace and Northampton.
I remember seeing the goals on ' News at Ten ' when I got home and the Kop-like surge at the Bog End when Tooting scored.
