As the more observant will have noticed, the Club Shop has not been open for the past couple of games. This has been due to the fact that the room we were using at the top of the grandstand has now been taken over (along with what was the Academy office) by a security firm who operate from the KNK stadium 24/7. The downside is that we now have to "share" what was the Club Shop with them on a match day although I guess that the upside is that having a 24/7 security presence on site should eliminate the break ins that have occured at the stadium over the past 18 months or so.
Whilst we are "sharing" the space with the security firm and are able to get the PA & music equiment set up to operate on a match day, with the extra office furniture and equipment they have moved into the space, there is now barely room in there to swing the proverbial cat! (and certainly almost impossible to display the boxes of old programmes in a way that would allow people to come in and browse around). I have therefore taken the decision not to re-open the shop on its previous basis until such time as the new accomodation I have been promised is available. I'm told that this will take the form of a storage container/portakabin, which will be situated somewhere in a pitch side location (am guessing it will be similar to the unit that can be seen against the fence to the right of the front 3G pitch as you enter the car park). I'm also guessing though that this is unlikely to happen before the end of this season.
The good news though is that I will still be selling items from the shop however this is more likely to be in the style of Del Boy rather than Harrods and will use what space we do have in the old shop as my "lock up"
With that in mind, I'm pleased to advise that we should have a new supply of beanies available as from this Saturday (still priced at £8.99) as well as our ususal selection of mugs, polo shirts, sweat shirts and hoodies.
"Harry" I know a mate of yours was after a beanie when we got them in so will keep one by for you assuming he still wants it. "Bog End Ultra", likewise I think Joe wanted one too so please could you let him know I will keep one by for him too.
And don't forget that we also have our online shop up and running which will enable you to buy replica kit and other items directly from our suppliers ProKit UK

Thanks Tim, I'll let Joe know.
P.S. I've had my Tooting & Mitcham tattoo done, I'd have to drop my keks to show you it although I haven't gone to the extremes Bondy was talking about.

Only £ 70 Al. Dave Irons is talking about getting one done. If he gets it on the same part of the anatomy as me you lot really will be in trouble because I'm sure he wont wait to be asked to drop his trousers and show it off !!!

.................and it'd probably cost him a lot more than 70 squid for the extra expanse of flesh it would have to cover !
