From last nights Kingstonian v Bognor game

I don`t suppose that as it was after Bognor had just scored their second, and the winning goal, might have had something to do with it?
I don`t know what goalkeeping is coming to!
Thank goodness our keepers can control themselves.

UNIQUE INCIDENT
Goalkeeper Who left the field Ordered Off
An unsual incident occured in Mitcham Wanderers Amateur
Cup Tie at Epsom. The Wanderers Goalkeper, Shoemith,
left the field apparently to remonstrate with some spectators,
and when he returned he was ordered off. A player is not entitled
to leave the field without the permission of the referee, breach
of this rule being regarded as ungentlemanly conduct.
This was an important Amatuer cup reply, played before a huge attendance, which the Wanderers subsaquently lost.
Hopefully I will be publising volume 1 of this unigue part of the club history sometime this year.

Hello DeePee,
I am really looking forward to the book as well. A long time in the making, the research has taken nearly 3 years to accumalte information on the Wanderers, and it's stil be added to each week.
There are some fascinating stories, on how the club was formed and when! I have had to split into two volumes due to the extensive amount of information I have found. The first volume will cover the history of the club, and the second will cover The matches stats and match stories.
I have been to a publisher and they can provide in both hard and linen back, and a special dedication page can be included for an individual.

Garry, the TM pics on merton library's website have the collection of photos that merton council heritage dept has collected over the years. They had a huge project to get them all digitised for tranfer to their website. Anyone wanting a copy of TM pics can apply to the library, their quality is first class.
Players jumping over the wall to "remonstrate" with supporters - would never happen at Tooting !!!

A few seasons ago our boss Jamie Martin hurdled the perimeter wall at Folkestone Invicta to confront some home fans behind the dugouts. After the return match at the KNK I was in the bar and overheard a group of Folkestone supporters chatting, one said '' Their manager was a lot better behaved today '' and another said '' Yeah, that's because he's sober ''
A slanderous suggestion if ever I've heard one !! Jamie didn't need to be drunk to be confrontational, he's Glaswegian, a bottle of Irn Bru would be enough.
P.S. Auntie Vi has knitted me a new T&M woolly hat, she'll be happy to knit more if you like what you see on Saturday.

I remember a game during the the dark days in Isthmian Division Two. We had just suffered an abject home defeat against the might of Tilbury. Somebody in the crowd then said what he thought of our big lumbering centre half, called Rory Gleeson. Mr Gleeson took exception to this and duly clambered over the concrete wall behind the goal and proceeded to chase the supporter out of the ground and along Sandy Lane. Needless to say, Mr Gleeson never played for us again!!!!

Talking of lumbering centre halfs, Gillingham had one called Dave Shipperly that the supporters nicknamed ' Ship ', not for the obvious reason but because he had the turning circle of the QE2
"proceeded to chase the supporter out of the ground and along Sandy Lane. Needless to say, Mr Gleeson never played for us again"
Just to make it clear - our mate Rory didn't actually make it as far as Sandy Lane as he was "apprehended" by Gary Whelan and one or two others!
In those days I could run much faster than him anyway!!!!!!
