Yes, players do sometimes leave at the drop of a hat, but this time it seems to have struck a raw nerve with the fans. There is the timing of course, the day before a semi final. And he's done it before. Last time he moved to Hastings at a similar time of the season, but there was some understanding, as it was one of his previous clubs, and that he was joining a promotion challenge, and that he "wouldn't normally make a sideways move... blah blah blah" Then when he came back he trumpeted how the move to Hastings was financially motivated, but the return to Tooting was football motivated. And now this move so close to the end of the season, potentially leaving us in the lurch, for the glory of an 8 week relegation scrap. And its not like he's been sidelined. - he's in the 1st XI 9 times out of 10, and has scored quite a few goals - so the service can't be too bad.
But I think everyone has had their bleat now, and as you say, it will undoubtably happen again sometime in the future. So its time to draw a line under it.

I WAS SORRY TO HEAR THAT FRANKIE SAWYER HAS DECIDED TO LEAVE US. AS USUAL MONEY IS COMING BEFORE FOOTBALL & IN MY OPINION IT SHOULD BE THE OTHER WAY ROUND. FOOTBALL IS NOW A SQUAD GAME, EVEN THE BEST HAVE TO SIT ON THE BENCH, FRANKIE YOU SHOULD REMEMBER THAT. YOU WILL PLAY IN EVERY GAME AT REDHILL BECAUSE THEY DONT HAVE THE CALIBRE OF PLAYERS THAT THERE IS AT T&M., THEREFORE THEIR BENCH IS WEAK.

CRAIG, WHY DONT YOU TEST THE WATER & MAKE A 7 DAY APPROACH FOR SMITHY AT SOUTH PARK. HE CANT BE THAT BAD AS I THINK HE IS THE RYMANS SOUTHs LEADING GOALSCORER & HE IS IN A SO SO TEAM

Just a thought
If (and it is a big if) there was a return and say 25 vital goals were scored, it helped to secure promotion to the premier and a fine run in the FA Cup, would all be forgotton and everything rosy again?

Probably by others, but not by me.

Things is, he might have reached that if he stayed here for the rest of the season...

We have two goal scorers towards the top of the table.
Smith at South Park has 24. Dan has 20 and Frankie has 15.
If you look at recent seasons what a lovely change that has been.
We have scored 64 goals but conceded 56. Where should your ire really be directed?

Must have my say. I am personally sad he has gone. Why did he come back when he knew how we played? Not sure he ever got on with Dan and vica versa. It is obvious he has gone for more money and he has to consider his family, but there is no way he will be with Redhill next season.. Why though leave just before tonights match? Couldn't he have stayed on for that? I am not sure of the relationship he had with Craig, but good luck with the Redhill nutter!

I know - I can't believe he's moved, it's almost like he's wanted to disrupt the team!! I'm not alleging he is, but the timing is really really bad..

Are you coming tonight Ev?
I do understand what you are saying but the night before our semi final? Really poor form for me Ev.
Nah, just got back from the New Forest Gary, on a packed train because of an incident at Streatham Commmon.

I have said this to anyone that listens, we are a better team with just Dan Summers up front!
When he has not got one of his strops on.

Redhill play Burgess Hill Town, I think there could be a thrashing on the cards.
Am I the only person on this forum that actually want's Redhill to survive?

It might not matter again where they finish, remember last year!
Personally I don`t mind one way or the other, except it is more local than some of the Kent teams, now I would not mind losing one of them.

I don't really want anyone to get relegated - apart from Ramsgate.

Why Ramsgate ?

Don't like the place, don't like the ground, don't like the fans. Irrational football dislike!

Was it Ramsgate the club that had their fans stand in front of our away fans abusing and swearing at us for the whole first half? a few years ago when Cadette was manager.
Bring on Matty Howard! 😂
Was it ten years ago?
I remember that particular game, the ramsgate fans were complete knobs, also making racist comments towards our players and management team.

I see that Frankie got his first goal for Redhill on Saturday.
However it was not enough to prevent yet another defeat, this time 2-1 away to Walton Casuals.

I don't care any more or less than before about Redhill.
I just hope the both Causels sides stay up. For Cheads Byatt ,Hall and Bracken.
I like East Grinstead ground for some reason and its easier to get to than Ramsgate.
I hope Merstham go up so that will be one less good team next year. Although Folkestone I think will be strong again. I have heard there is a good team called Phoenix Sport who are running away with the Kent league.
If Craig keeps this current squad I think we will win the league next year.
Phoenix are a decent side and have enjoyed a terrific season when you'd expect Ashford, Tunbridge Wells, Erith & Belvedere or big money Greenwich Borough to run away with the SCEFL. I have some misgivings over their ground being fit for Ryman football though and in any event I reckon they would go into Ryman North, they're ground's almost within spitting distance of VCD Athletic.
Teams mooted to be joining Ryman South include Molesey, Dorking Wanderers, Godalming Town (again) and possibly Chatham moving south.

Dorking would be nice
