Had a bit of an end of season feel about it really. Ex Terror Carl Wilson Denis was given all the time in the world to fire the visitors in front just before the half hour mark. Howard Newton salvaged a point for the Terrors when he swept home the equaliser early in the second half. Game just seemed to peter out after that and a draw was probably about right. Also must say that that was probably the most competent refereeeing performsnce I have seen this season.

It was a boring match. We were really toothless up front despite once again playing a good passing game. It was nice to see Max coming on as sub in the second half. I agree that the ref was probably the best that I have seen in a long time. He allowed the game to flow and with out him I might have fallen asleep.
Our defence needs an overhaul this summer. Allowing a tortoise like Wilson-Denis that much time will not do. The highlight of the match for me was Jamie Byatt;s hair: getting a bit long there Busy!

I rather enjoyed yesterday's match. Perhaps it was the Spring weather. Or maybe the prospect of seeing Thunder (who were tremendous by the way) at the Hammersmith Odeon in the evening. Anyway, it was two teams trying (though not always succeeding) to play decent football. Casuals just shaded the first half. But we were better in the second. Good to see Max Noble back. He really does add something different. And new signing Gerald Akosa looked good when he came on. Agree with others about the referee who was excellent.

Typical end of season game with both teams knowing they are not going up or down. We played a neat passing game but poor in front of goal. Dan had a couple of half chances but overall probably the right result. Good to see Max back and I agree the ref had a good game. The MOM was Sol and I agree, but why was he playing in the second half on the right? I am sure Craig knows better than I.

Apparently a conference referee who was the ref at the Dover game last weekend. Certainly showed the difference in competence between the refs in our league and the ones in the leagues above!

I tried to find a video of the Ark Royal turning to replicate the speed and motion of CWD in our box but failed. Poor goal.
What was our possession percentage in the 1st half (again)? Perhaps as much as 70%?
We need a small, quick and tidy finisher like...........Opps, nearly said the name of the horned one.
Perhaps next season.
Before Gary kicks in with news of his love child, I heard Bizz respond to a question about his flowing locks as he came out at half time.
Growing it for a charity cause apparently.
Perhaps linked to the scare his little boy had recently. Don't know.
Well done him.

I watched a snail in the garden yesterday Bondy, and boy was he fast! It would have put three away in the time it took CWD to hit the net!
Have you also noticed, Bondy, that all of the players that attain Gary's "Love Child" status leave the club soon after? The pressure of that elevated status is just too much for the shoulders of players at this level to take
And never mind Busy's hair: when is he finally going to get a pair of shorts that fit him? Come on Casuals, dig deep and buy Jamie a pair of shorts that are cut above the ankle

Match report for the programme please - anyone ??

What makes you think he wants to come back. I would say he was more than happy at CC. The assumption with any suggested player, Paul Vines was another one, that they can't wait to return to us. Sadly we are not that great a club that they want to run back to. Although I know this was the case one time, but that time was long ago.

Above the bench....succinctly put........a shadow of the club even of 4 years ago...........So sad to see the utter demise of a once great and proud club.... it seems our great excitement is only generated by reaching the London Senior Cup Final, where the better teams turn out their and youth and reserve teams.
The Football Club needs to take a long hard look at itself...........unless there is major changes the future is very bleak! We now have to suffer the humiliation of basically "Park Teams" who beat us and move on up the non league ladder. In the past they would not have been able to lace the boots of our 3rd team.
The Football Club should be the Centre of attraction at Imperial Fields...not the laughing stock! A succesful First Xl will bring untold benefits to everything at Imperial Fields......or is there just another agenda??????

I think you are seriously misguided if you think you can see Dan running after every ball, for 60 minutes? dont get me wrong, I would not like to see him leave us, but running for a long period of time is not his forte.
As for Mikem`s appraisal of the club, personally I feel the club is in a better position than it has been for several years now with the prospect`s for the future looking good, but as you rightly say Gary, we need to keep the nucleus of our present squad together for the coming season, with additions in one or two positions.
We have to now accept Mikem that the illustrious days of the past are history and can never return, not at this level anyway, and it grieves me to say it but I feel this level of football is slowly dying, due in the main to television, and the way people spend their leisure time today. Our generation should feel themselves very lucky that we have been able to enjoy a period in the history of the "beautiful game" when a Saturday to most working men started with a visit to your local club, and I do mean local not some team who is miles away, a few beers with your friends, then finishing up with "match of the day" on a Saturday night, happy days.
