Can Non League Footie seize the moment?

Just been catching up on the latest decisions by our all knowing FIFA footie leaders re the Qatar World Cup.
80 games in the Premier Division will have to be cancelled.
Plus ?? in the Championship, given their number of cheap foreign imports.

So that is Abramomovishea, Crystal Palace and Fulham (if they are all still in the Premier Division!) with no games for 5/6/7 weeks.

Non League footie just has to seize this opportunity.
Footie at £10 (or less), a pint of proper beer at half time, stand where you like, take your drink in with you to the terraces, sit where you like, change ends at half time etc, etc.
All the stuff that we treasure.

An opportunity not to be missed to drag some fans back to share our misery of 'real' footie.

Re: Can Non League Footie seize the moment?

Plumpton likes this.....and T&M have a good opportunity.  In non-league terms, our ground is a palace, and our fans are a very good bunch.  I think once people have seen this, they will be interested, and in time, hooked.

Just to elaborate on the above - I have done a bit of groundhopping in my time - trust me, standing at Thamesmead Town on a February evening and watching Redbridge v Erith and Belvedere in a similar setting will not entice the masses - it would put many off - but the facilities we have and the following T&M have makes our team stand out above many others.

Definitely, use the plus points we have and bring the masses in - you've summed it up excellently Bondy:

Let's get the message out there - thumbs up from me

Indeed Bondy........to make sure things run smoothly I'll bring a super large chips wrapped in the daily rag.......

On second thoughts the average Evening Standard has probably done several rounds of the germ ridden tube......back to the drawing board on the inauguaral meal

Bondy will need something far more secure than the daily rag in which to secure his chips (he has  a track record don't you know)
