They have finally been beaten! Whyteleafe beat them 1-0 away with a team that included 6 ex-Terrors! So I think we'll claim part of the glory.

Ceesay in goal, and Sol Patterson-Bohner played a couple of games under Richard Cadette.
Interestingly, Whyteleafe are doing so well with those players, and yet I doubt we could find a place in our 1st team for any of them.

Shame to see them lose, because at the end of the day they could have brought some publicity for our league.
Still, well done and you will deservedly be champions, although we were robbed of a drawer at your place.

Gary - I'm with you (what a refeshing change eh) on Ryan.
He had plenty of talent in his early years.
Perhaps not enough nastiness as other full backs?
And Shakey was a fine keeper for us when stepped in.
However, accepting that I have not seen Sam Clayton play in a zillion years, I would (as so often) agree with Endo.
Don't think I would replace any of that 6 as individuals, at the stage in their playing career they are now, with any of our current squad.
Therefore that means I can't help but pose the same question as Endo - Why are we not doing as well as Leafe? And that is not a question I really want to consider. Ouch

They play Ryman Style football Bondy and we don't. When we palyed them I was there with Gary, and their final goal took all of ten seconds to score: we were attacking, they got the ball, Jason took it down the left wing and crossed it into the box, delivdered a pinpoint cross and it was in the net. When was the last time that you saw us score on the counter attack? From our goal to their goal in ten or so seconds?
Yes, our play is good but we do not mix it. Tapping the ball around on the edge of our box is all very clever (except when we lose it and concede, which has happened too often) but sometimes the quick ball out is on but we never do it. We are one dimensional and when teams work out how we play they shut us down.

Maybe we just play too much football for this league and we are not direct enough.
That sums up my load of waffle just right Gary.

A new registered user with something to say ! now there's a novelty.
Watching last night's footy on the box there were two things that astonished me, in the Kiev v Everton game Phil Jagielka made a bona fide sliding tackle that the ref not only didn't book him for but didn't even deem it a foul !!!!
Then later in the Inter v Wolfsburg match Niklas Bentner produced a clinical finish to seal the tie
I wasn't dreaming all this was I ?
