MINI BUS TO HYTHE

If anyone is interested I can get a minibus for this Saturday, including driver.
collect from Imperial Fields 10.30am.
arrive back approximately  19.00 pm.
for a 16 seater £25-00 each prices based of a full minibus
or a 24 seater £ 28-00 each.                    "
If anyone is interested let me know ASAP so I can book it.
If a seat is booked then it has to be paid for even if unable to go in the end, hope you understand the reason why.

Re: MINI BUS TO HYTHE

Hi Alan, Joe's up for it......so that's four. Maths isn't my strong suit but I reckon it's gonna work out at about £100 each.......that's before beer, food, entrance fee, programme, golden goal ticket etc. It would be cheaper going to Arsenal...........and you don't hear that very often

Re: MINI BUS TO HYTHE

I am afraid you are right buddy. But it was worth a try, have to sound people out at the next home game.
Meet you both at the same place, same time.

Re: MINI BUS TO HYTHE

I spoke to Mitcham Belle who quoted me a price of £325 for a 22 seater to Faversham, including driver. Like you say mate we'll try and drum up some interest in the meantime.

Re: MINI BUS TO HYTHE

That is a really good price buddy, surely it must be of interest to others at the club.
See you Saturday.

No it wouldn't... We've been eating beans on toast for the last 18 months after taking the little man to a Arsenal home game last season.
Working mans game my arse(nal).....
Mind you at least at Arsenal you get those fantastic European Nights

Re: MINI BUS TO HYTHE

Hi! Harry, I am not  GOONER but I watched the game last night and found it very enjoyable, and with a bit more luck, and some better quality players as some of the first touches were very poor in the six yard box, they could have got the third goal and gone through.
But this is what makes the game so enjoyable, nothing is ever certain!

Re: MINI BUS TO HYTHE

Same old, same old with Arsenal though.... They can't turn it on for the important games until it's too late.

The London Senior Cup will do for me this season... None of this Champions league b*llocks

Re: MINI BUS TO HYTHE

I don`t know what you think Harry, but do you see Ozil as an Arsenal player, or Welbeck come to that, and I liked him at United, I meant when he played for us, not scoring in the cup

Re: MINI BUS TO HYTHE

The premiership bores the pants off me now. I honestly don't think any of the so called top clubs really entertain apart from Man City. Arsenal are lazy and lack leaders. Chelsea don't play football that entertains and Man U and Liverpool are shadows of the clubs they were...

I tell people I support TMUFC now if I get asked and have done for a while. The little man has talked me into it and plus the club has so many good people there. I enjoy going to games and meeting up with mates etc.

Going to Arsenal was far too expensive and since moving to the new stadium a totaly boring day out.
Bog End Ultra summed things up for me. Clubs used to base loyalty on how many games you went to.. Now it's how much money you spend. Arsenals Club Shop is biiger than the Asda at Mitcham !!!!

Re: MINI BUS TO HYTHE

I would second that Harry, I often say that if only young people sampled lower league football and found how passionate we all are, combined with the friendlier atmosphere that evades the games, not only that but the good honest banter that can be had with opposition fans, both in the bar or in the ground.
To give you an idea of what I am trying to say, when I was standing at the turnstiles collecting for Coilin Hartburn, you would be surprised at the number of Folkestone fans who willingly contributed and commenting how much they respected him, try that down a premiership ground and more likely the opposition fans would have mugged me then had a s++t in the bucket.
No, for me now, whilst United will always be my first love and I intend to be buried with my scarfe, I enjoy the overall football experience better at Imperial Fields, than I did at Old Trafford, it is how it should be not watching a lot of overpaid primma donnas who think they are above us common fans.
No I am not envious.

Alan, you have it spot on.  Premier football is a horrible game - it's full of people who are merely interested in a name or something to belong to - not the actual game itself.  I have maintained for a long time that the real fans are in non league.  At the end of the day, if people want to watch a premier game, they merely have to turn on the TV......if you want to see the ins and outs of non league you ACTUALLY HAVE TO GO TO the ground and see what's occurring.

One example is from (many of you know I'm a railwayman) when I was working at Waterloo station some years ago.  I was approached by a man, in a Chelsea shirt, Chelsea scarf, a pair of Chelsea tracksuit bottoms, with a Chelsea wallet with a Chelsea hat and his son, in matching attire.  He then asked me.........

"Where's Stamford Bridge mate and what tube do I need to get there?"

Says it all really.
