Attendances in Ryman North
According to Isthmian League web site attendances at Ryman North today were appalling:
Barkingside 54
Burnham Ramblers 63
Maldon & Tiptree 42
Romford 75
Thamesmead 51
Tilbury 56
Ware 44
Wroxham (where?) 81
Surely these can't be right. There have either been mistakes recording the attendances on the web page or it is an absolute insult to clubs in our division that we should be ranked as equal to these clubs. Are these usual attendances does anyone know?

Yep, these attendances are accurate. The Ryman North is known for it's low attendances......
I have seen a few RN games, involving Thamesmead Town, Erith & Belvedere, Barkingside, Redbridge.......indeed one had an attendance of 26 on the Ryman site - I counted 21 at the ground!
Chatting to the people at these games even long time members of the RN see it as a desolate league, of far away places that are hard to get to and very low support. Amazing many of the teams survive.......

I've just checked the Ryman site - the posted attendances were the highlights of the Ryman North - AFC Sudbury had 248 there and Needham Market had 270.
Couple of Ryman South games were low - East Grinstead v Walton Casuals weighing in at 86 and South Park v Ramsgate only 70!

Wroxham - 10 or so miles North East of Norwich - gateway to the Norfolk Broads - nice place and a nice little ground. To be fair to them though they have been getting some bigger crowds than that at their place in the recent past.
I started out with nothing and I've still got most of it left !
