East Grinstead 0 Terrors 2

Surprised there's nothing on here yet tonight about today's superb away win !
Two Dan Summers capped off a superb performance by all the team, especially from the returning Max Noble, a very lively Leon Lalor-Dell and some new young lad who looks a really good prospect, what was his name now ??? Oh yes, err, Adam ..... err........Moriarty, yes that was it ! Almost man of the match.

I started out with nothing and I've still got most of it left !

Re: East Grinstead 0 Terrors 2

Gary & I had some playful debate earlier in the season about playing youngsters and I made the wise old sage point that you can't be given experience.
And yesterday we saw Leon coming of age in his best T&M performance that I have seen to date.
Encouraging.

Who amount us didn't think that Adam had stepped down too early?  Has never let us down in a striped shirt and yet again his pressing and urgency set the tone.

Nice feed from Billy M for the first goal but yet again Dan demonstrated how clinical he has been in creating & converting his own chances from limited opportunities.

And you could see and hear Craig cajoling his team to produce the performance set out for them.

A lovely afternoon in the Spring sunshine.

Re: East Grinstead 0 Terrors 2

A very welcome 3 points for us at last. The opposition were pretty poor, the rock hard, bobbly pitch and windy conditions made good football impossible but we were the better team and deserved the win.
My first visit to East Grinstead, a neat and tidy ground,  didn't like the pitch or the slope and the bar gets a 1 out of 10 from me.

Re: East Grinstead 0 Terrors 2

All in all a nice day yesterday - I was impressed at how well kept the ground seemed when we arrived and also how well kept things were inside too.  I will agree the bar situation wasn't ideal though, closing during match times and also not great selection of drinks, along with half time queues as they only started with one person serving.......but there we are.

Not too far from the station and the weather was very nice, enjoyed the behind-goal action, got to see close up our goals go in.....did anyone have a chat with their fans?  I didn't as got caught up catching up with Tooting events (as many of you know, I can't get to as many games as I would like) - they didn't seem very chatty but to be fair if we weren't either then that's what happens........

DeePee there's a private message in the bag too........

Re: East Grinstead 0 Terrors 2

DeePee may i respectfully suggest that Adam WAS man of the match, all round good performance, and he led by example. Great ground only rebuilt in the close season, but like others on here, if they wish to maximise on their resources then for goodness sake have the bar open at twelve, we arrived at just after twelve, ground wasll locked up with just a beaten up old van in the car park, and when i got into the bar just before the half time whistle, the shutters were down and you had to wait until the half time whistle before it was open, then just one person serving, come on lads, sort yourselves out for next season as you will find out, we are not a Temperance club.
Not withstanding the bar suituation, great ground with more improvements to come this close season, so good luck to you all.
