An Idea

Due to the problems with playing the LSC fina,l this game should be held over to just before the start of next season? This radical change could be used for the benefit of both clubs, as part of the preparations for the up and coming 2015-16 season. I think the enthusiasm of this fixture being played 2/3 weeks after the season is not very high.
Tooting are making management changes, players are leaving, what incentive is this for all of them. Incoming players and management, and fans will have an opportunity to assess the forth coming season. For Hendon it will be a total anti-climax whatever their results the play-off games. A competitive game before next season starts would be more of an incentive for both clubs than playing just mundane and meaningless friendlies.  And of course technically the game will still be in the bounds of last season!

Re: An Idea

Couldn't agree less. It was Craig and this group of players that got us to the final so why deprive them of the opportunity to play in the final ? I was talking to Knocky before the game on Saturday and he told me how pumped-up for the final all the lads were. It's not their fault the authorities can't get their act together.

Re: An Idea

I agree with you Cricket, what right have a new group of players got to represent our club in a cup final if they were not involved in getting their.
As for the statement, enthisiasm is not very hig" all i can say is you could not have spoken to many people  as this was always a talking point.
In my opinion Mikem, I feel you have not thought this fully through, but it is your opinion and you are entitled to it, after all that is what the game is all about.

Re: An Idea

I find the responses very fascinating. Of course this means a lot to the player reaching a Cup Final, even it was a played on the local common, and I would not try to  rob them of their glory. I was just pointing out there is an alternative to  the chaos surrounding this game. Just to put things into perspective, I am amazed a player has stated the team are “Pumped up this game,” what happened to the rest of the season, when the Terrors equalled their worst ever season since joining the Isthmian League in 1956. Our League this season was the worst standard we have played in since 1956, third rate teams, in a sub-standard League. What happened to the “Pumped up” enthusiasm for playing in this dreadful league, and trying to climb out of the mire?  You, have to ask did the team get Tanner the sack?

Re: An Idea

Some very valid points Mike but by the same token why are Bradford City in League One if they can beat Chelsea at Stamford Bridge ? A feat no Premier League side has managed this season. Why do players raise their game against their former clubs ? I'm not qualified in sports psychology but I think I know the answer.
