Fans Forums

I had a look at Farnborough Town's website ( it really is excellent ) and there is a link to their fans forum and I have to say it is very good indeed but not as good as ours. Farnborough's has a goodly mix of info, opinion and humour but not the catalogue of photos of gay men that one of our contributors tries to ruin our otherwise superb forum with.

I sometimes look at our neighbours forums out of nosyness and have to say none of them are a patch on this one. Sutton's is average at best. Carshalton's, well, not much to say really, bit like their registered users who don't have much to say. Dulwich ? not in the same league as ours so "We must be doing something right" to coin a phrase.

Chezzer and Bolty......I salute you.

I originally went on Farnborough's site to see if there was any news on their meeting with the administrators and impending expulsion from football but I have to report that everything seems very positive and upbeat. Fingers crossed our friendly will go ahead and they have a good and full season of fixtures.

Re: Fans Forums

Like you buddy, I also keep an eye out on other clubs forums, and have to agree, like everything else at our club at present, things are very good, some of our local rivals forums are to say the least, indifferent or one who is very clos, very poor.
But who cares ours is very entertaining, informative, and at times very funny and something I always look forward to the moment I get home.
Liker yourself the gay aspect is something we do not need, but in this enlightened society, it takes all sorts

You must be talking about Carshalton's Al. I usually have a look at theirs about once a week in the forlorn hope that someone has posted not just something interesting but something at all ! If their beloved owner didn't keep antagonising the fans there would be f**k all to read on there. Funny lot The Robins, they've got a new manager, they'll be getting loads of new players, they're installing a 3G pitch but none of the fans have got anything to say. Their captain Adriano uses the same gym as me (though he doesn't quite share my Adonis-like physique) and he only found out their manager had been sacked when I told him I'd read the news in one of Gary Walker's posts on this forum ! How crap is that ? The fan of a local rival telling the club captain his manager's been sacked. They seem to have a problem communicating with each other. I know 2 brothers who support Carshalton and they're both f**king weird. Then there's that plank, sorry, bloke RussellF who comes on here criticising DeePee, another weirdo. Right, that's enough Robins bashing, my boss wants me to do some work.

Re: Fans Forums

Next time your bored or just feel nosey again, have a look at the Walton & Hersham forum.
It's very interesting orthough not for the best reasons.
It seem Walton & Hersham are on the verge of being kicked out of there ground owned by the council so that development of housing can be built, lovely a river view.
A verger with Walton Cauals is on the cards, but this is not very popular.
And it seems that Walton Casual ground is contaminated with something nasty (So that's why we lost 1-0 last season )and they can not play there home games there next season.
Oh dear, nevermind, it could be worst, Sepp Blatter might offer them his service.

Re: Fans Forums

In a strange way it's a Carshalton fan who helped get Anthony into Football. The first time I brought him to see TMUFC his teacher ( The Robins Fan) was there and they chatted for ages and from then always had a bit of banter on Monday mornings.... Normally about who had lost by more goals.

I know a few over there and feel sorry for the way it's gone and very sorry for the fans that got banned from watching their team at home games. Anthonys teacher stopped going because his mates were no longer allowed to games.

Another mate who often pops over to watch the Terrors follows Walton & Hersham and has been going on about how their ground is being allowed to run down and a possible merger with the Casuals...

All very sad.

As I understand it Rooto 2 Dulwich fans and an Arsenal supporter turned up there at Neil Hams recent fund raising match and now the whole place needs fumigating and is unfit for human inhabitation. Early estimates from the Environmental Agency reckon it could take 100 gallons of Dettol and 6 months before anyone's allowed back in without protective clothing and breathing apparatus although it could have been ready inside a week if the Gooner hadn't have shown up.

Re: Fans Forums

It can't have been the Arsenal fan that did all that, they are the sort of the earth, if Carlsberg did football, they would want to be Arsenal, unlike that other lot nearby in north london. I suspect it was a nasty spurs fan making out they are a super Arsenal fan as they haven't won a cup for a while unless you consider the tin pot wing wong cup in Thailand when there off on there jollies playing some local team trying to entice new fans (poor b***ards that's torture). No fear not it was defiantely not an Arsenal fan.

Re: Fans Forums

Ha ha, a couple of Carshalton fans "weird", T&M has its far share of those as well !  I like Carshalton as a club, some good drinking establishments as well. Whenever I'm thinking how crap it is at Tooting, I go on the Carsh forum just to see how bad they've got it there, and it makes me feel so much better !

Re: Fans Forums

I am told that Mr. Dipre did not take long in aserting his autorithy to the new manager at Carshalton FC, by telling him that there are 4 players on contract & that they must play every week, unless of course they are injured.

Re: Fans Forums

I am amazed at anyone applying for a managers job at that club when it is well documented how much he interfere`s with the playing side, especially when you consider the abysmall effort when he tried to manage the club himself, as I keep on saying, thankfully we have a chairman / owner who lets the people employed to manage, do just that.
