Dear all,
I wanted to take this opportunity to address you all in light of a recent press article that was published, relating to mine and Marks pre season plans and some of our thoughts going into the season.
I must ask you all to trust your better judgment and not to misinterpret or be discouraged by a journalist’s interpretation of what we are planning for the club and in particular my thoughts about the previous management team.
The recently published article in the Guardian was not meant to bring Craig’s management into disrepute in any way – the article drew attention to the topic of discipline as that is one area that we wish to improve but that is without judgment on Craig and rather a stamp that Mark and I wish to make in order to get a team you will continue to support and be proud of.
On this occasion, the journalist misconstrued the conversation we had and the points I raised and I wanted to set the record straight with you all and make you aware that I am here to represent the club and all associated with it in the very best way I can.
I understand that the tone of the recent article that was published, may have leaned too far towards a criticism of Craig and that was by no means my intention – nor will it ever be.
That article and the ones to follow will only ever draw attention to what Mark and I intend on doing as managers/coaches of this football club but we are somewhat powerless to what the press invent at times in order to create controversy.
We are looking forward to starting back tomorrow night and we are pleased to report a huge success with yesterdays trial match!
Thanks – Frank Wilson

Well done Frank, as we all know journalists can some times be somewhat liberal with the truth, it is nice to have an immediate response from yourself.
Goodluck on the first training session tonight, just in the process of fitting some new studs and applying dubbing to my boots, or should it be beef fat!

Now there's an idea Ashtree....a Tooting & Mitcham Veterans Supporters XI. If we make it over 45's only that would only exclude Anthony, Maarlon, Mason and about half a dozen others, we could have a bigger squad than Manchester City. We could arrange a fixture against our counterparts from Dulwich Hamlet and proceed to kick the s hit out of them even if it did upset one of our very own eh ?
