Tooting & Mitcham Supporters Ground Renovation PartyTuesday 30th June and Wednesday 1st July
Work starts at 9am and ends 4pm both days...Most of you will be aware that every club at our level needs their supporters help to ensure the ground is ready for the new season.
AFC do it. Sutton do it. Every club has to do it.And Tooting have been doing this under Lyn Catchpole's guidance for a good few years now. Sometimes with Schools work experience children and sometimes with just the stewards and a few volunteers from the Members club. Did you know that? Perhaps not.As you must have noticed Imperial Fields is starting to show its age and needs work to ensure both the comfort and safety of all spectators.
This is your club and your club needs you!Young and old are invited to lend a hand. However we have an absolute commitment that those youngsters on work experience will be supervised and overseen by adults while they are with us. So we need you to come along.
Hopefully for a full day or more but even if you can only devote a morning or an afternoon, that would be very helpful. So what is going to be involved:
- Painting of safety markings
- General repairs
- Washing of the Stewards hut and the stand seating.
Every seat in the stand needs to be tested for safety. How? By sitting on it!
- Repairs to terrace fencingCan you help?
Can you come down with a fellow supporter/family member and work together?
No experience is neededIf so, please contact Lyn by email her on:

All - this has turned out to be a bit of a flop I beleive !
So far, according to Lyn, NOBODY is able to help tomorrow other than some of her Stewards (stirling chaps).
If you can help in any way give her a shout ASAP.
Sadly, I could have gone today but can't do tomorrow - that's my excuse Mr Ultra and I'm sticking to it.

The Problem is that it's during the week when most of us are at work. Cough cough. If it was done in a Saturday or Sunday a lot more people would ha e probably volunteered including myself.

Stone me DeePee you've had long enough to come up with something better than that.
My excuse ? I'm Scottish and I can't function properly when the mercury rises above 21celsius rendering today a complete non-starter

Dear all, This from Lyn Catchpole.
"We have completed all the H & S work for the time being at the club. The work party was just dear old me, Ian Bullock and two Stewards: Veronica Catchpole & Phil White.
It was too hot to work on the hottest day of the year.
Please could you thank these people for all their invaluable help on the day via the forum and Facebook pages.
Thanks - Lyn"
