Tuesday evening's game v Staines Town

Just to confirm that there will be no admission charge for this game however we will instead be going round with a bucket to collect funds that will go towards renewing some of our stewarding equipment. We will also have a match programme on sale (our usual single sheet/4 page programme we produce for friendlies) which will be available for 40p so please bring plenty of change!

Additionally we are also hoping to have a small number of used retro TMUFC playing shirts for sale which will be available for £10 each

Re: Tuesday evening's game v Staines Town

Hooray!, I felt the price of a bottle of"Peroni" was a bit steep, and it is not even a full pint.
Thank you god, for thinking of us pensioners.

A bit too strong for the likes of DeePee that Tim. Tell Abbi to get lots of lemonade in and he can try it in Shandy form.

Re: Tuesday evening's game v Staines Town

I thought I heard a noise about 8.30.
That must have been Gary bursting this years bubble now the season is effectively over.

Get a grip old son.

Any team news from last night?

Re: Tuesday evening's game v Staines Town

I do not think you can judge the players too harshly on last nights performance, yes there were some disappointments, but at this stage of the season surely it has to be expected.
Looking forward to Saturday where we should see, and indeed expect to see, a better performance and probably a squad approaching who is staying, and who is not.
Shame we did not get to see the famous "Ashley Robinson" when I saw his name on the team sheet I nearly choked on my beer, If he is coming back then I fear for the season, or the three or four games he stays before moving on, again!

Re: Tuesday evening's game v Staines Town

The Ashley Robinson that truned out for us on Tuesday was a different version - not the infamous tubby chap that kicked a ball around for us (and a lot of others) a few times in the past.
The "Team" Chezzar was about 25 strong with two distinct sets of players turning out in each half - some looked good/o.k., others looked distinctly below average.
A couple of the new "signings" (no one's actually signed yet 'cos Ryman rules say they can't yet) didn't turn up being on holiday/unavailable etc.
Hear that Max Noble is no longer in the picture as he's gone off to somewhere in Wales ????

Re: Tuesday evening's game v Staines Town

Very, very early days indeed Gary. That us why it is not worth getting too excited now.

Players will be trialling for us but then moving on.
And, much as we may wish to see a nicely settled squad, you know that very close to the season start players will be pruned from over large squads by clubs higher up the pyramind and then be looking for a club.
And that will hopefully be where having a coach well known at Ryman level and our excellant pitch/facilities will result in some of the better ones coming our way.

Re: Tuesday evening's game v Staines Town

As the saying goes Bondy," Rome was not built in a day" I made no secret of the fact I was sorry to see Craig and Adam go but that is history, we have to give the new manager/coach a chance, and let us see what turns up this Saturday.

Re: Tuesday evening's game v Staines Town

Was chatting with Max at the game on Tuesday. Is injured again having tried to do too much work too soon over the early part of the summer. And just to keep the rumour mill turning, another interested spectator I was talking to at the game was right back Sam Childs
