AFC WIMBLEDON.

I do not know if anybody else has read the Dons coaches report on our game with them, but talk about one eyed.
According to him we play in the Ryman Premiership, our players are all semi professionals and vastly experienced, his team consisted of 15 - 17 year olds, most of whom have yet to start shaving, (I made that bit up!) who but for better finishing would have got something from the game.
I know you are liable to protect young playerrs, but surely not to that extent, or is he correct, were they unlucky, anybody have a reply.

Re: AFC WIMBLEDON.

We gave them a good game. I should think their players learnt a fair bit on the day of what it will be like when they step up to the next stage in their careerer . Worth saying we had a lot of younger players turn out on Sunday as well.
I like AFC Wimbledon and have great respect for what they have done over the years but some of their people seem to think the world owes them a living and that they as a club can do no wrong....
Yes some of our players were older but these young men are playing at a totaly different level and will need to grow up fast if they are to make it in the professional leagues.

Re: AFC WIMBLEDON.

Like you Harry, MK Dons or AFCWimbledon. whatever you call them, you have to admire what they achieved, with not very much I might add, when Laurie Sanchez planted the ball in the scousers net it wrote a new chapter in that illustrious competition.
I do not think you will ever see their like again, more is the pity, the game needs teams like them, just to come along and take the game by the scruff of the neck, and prove it is not always about money.
What they had could not be bought.
What they need to learn now is a little humility speaks a thousand words, and learn to give credit where credit is due.

Re: AFC WIMBLEDON.

The FA cup was won by Wimbledon FC now known as MK DONS. MK DONS have the only player that was at Wimbledon FC when they changed their name, he is Dean Lewington. The present club known as AFC Wimbledon have never ever won the FA cup although they believe they did., should really be called AFC Norbiton not Wimbledon as they are not in Wimbledon.

Re: AFC WIMBLEDON.

Enjoyed the posting Gary, thankyou, but it all went south with the P.S. nobody can disagree that Paul done extremely well for us in his time, but that was yesterday and we have to look forward as a team, remember Paul for how he was and not as he is today.
PS Who would you give his place to if he came back?

Re: AFC WIMBLEDON.

Thinking about your comments Gary made me feel that by sending a team of young boys is somewhat demeaning towards our team, their management obviously do not hold the lads in a very high regard and are not giving them the respect they deserve., hopefully we might meet each other in a few seasons time, as they are coming down and we are going up, ( I can drean can`t I)

Re: AFC WIMBLEDON.

Granted it might have given the manager a chance to look at players, but playing boys can hardly tell you much.
I do not quite understand your statement about Paul Vines "flicking boys onto Summers" what are you inferring
