Replica playing shirts - the care of

Just a word of advice to anyone who has, or is going to purchase, a replica playing shirt this season. Aside from my previous messages around sizing (ie order one size larger than you would normally order in the UK as Macron use European sizes), whilst the shirts themselves are pretty durable, in order to preserve the quality of the KNK logo on the front, when washing them, it is recommended that you avoid stcking them in a tumble drier afterwards but instead just allow the shirt to dry naturally

How can you turn yourself inside out DeePee?

Re: Replica playing shirts - the care of

The first time my daughters shirt was washed the KNK logo began to peel. We sent it back and they fixed it. We now only wash the shirt on a low temperature / low spin cycle and it seems to be ok - despite the fact Amy nearly lives in the thing and is saving hard for the new away strip !!!

Dave - you could turn your knowledge into a weekly column for the program - Dave M's handy household hints.

Excellent idea Endo - a regular column where readers can have all their domestic chore queries answered. I appreciate it would be a heavy post bag though so maybe DeePee could share the burden with Dave M? Let's see, we could call it.....err...."Dear Dave"

Re: Replica playing shirts - the care of

Dear Dave,
My lodger John, an occasional Tooting and Mitcham watcher, has the irritating habit of leaving all the kitchen appliances on after he's finished using them, he then complains when the energy bills arrive that they are too high. Do you think a good hard punch in the head will help to resolve this issue ?

Re: Replica playing shirts - the care of

Dear Dave,
Thankyou for your expert advice, it was partially helpful. After administering the punch my lodger removed his cheese and broccoli quiche from the oven and turned it off immediately. The downside to all this is I have been released on bail and am due to appear before Wimbledon Magistrates on September 9th charged with Actual Bodily Harm. Do you know anyone who would be willing to act as a character witness ? Also can you suggest something to remove a bloodstain from my beige Axminster carpet ?

Re: Replica playing shirts - the care of

Peroni Nastro Azzuro is over priced (although mixed with blood may improve the taste). Try a cheep Aldi or Lidl Red wine!!!! Or a gallon of Esso extra and a lit match - this will remove all the evidence

Re: Replica playing shirts - the care of

Dear Dave,
Thanks for nothing. My Axminster is now completely ruined and my living room stinks like a wine cellar. On top of that my lodger has moved out depriving me of 400 quid rent each month, I've got a possible custodial sentence to contemplate and all thanks to you pair of pillocks. In future do us all a favour and keep your handy household hints to yourselves.

Whoops sorry - just re read my advice, when I said "Try a cheep Aldi or Lidl Red wine!!!! Or a gallon of Esso extra and a lit match - this will remove all the evidence" I actually meant Try Mr Muscle carpet cleaner available at all good supermarkets!!
