Murphy-McVey, Baxter (pen). Much better.

We carried on from where we left off with the Carshalton game. I thought that we dominated around 80% of the game with the remaining 20% being scrappy. It is fair to say that Peacehaven did not dominate any period of the game.
Jamie missed a sitter in the first half and a fantastic Sol Pinnock low cross only just evaded Jamie's and Serg's outstretched boots in the second half. It was a very good team display today.
Once again Sol Pinnock played well but was substituted. Can anyone explain this?

I felt that the game was a little more even than that personally Ev, I certainly never felt comfortable all the time it was 1-0, McVey`s goal was an absolute cracker and so far is the best we have scored , or at least competing with Ashely Robinson`s the other week. Peacehaven certainly were not a patch on the team we played two seasons ago, certainly did not have the pace up front this time, but nonetheless I felt were always in with a chance until the second goal.
Felt sorry for Jaimie as he got hardly any service, and when he did was just a whisker away from converting, better luck Monday I hope.
Robins on Monday are going to be a different proposition to the team we so comprehensibly beat the other week, got a good 1-0 win today at Hastings so they are going to be on a high, looking forward to the game, let`s hope we can keep this run going.

To be honest, I could not see Peacehaven scoring today. I usually have a gut feeling about the oppo scoring, but not today.

I wish I had your confidence Ev I did not feel comfortable until the second goal went in, lets face it, it is not unknown for us to turn a win into a loss or a draw.
But saying that, three on the bounce is not bad, lets hop we can keep the run going then our pre-season optimism will return.

I think that as well as winning, which is always nice, we have looked a lot more solid at the back over the last three games. Keep a clean sheet and you only need on goal to win.

I wonder where Harry is going to fit in when he is fit again, nice problem for the management duo to have, what with that and JC on the sidelines, not a bad position to be in.

More to the point Alan: how long are they prepared to sit on the bench? The problem with having no reserve team is that the players on the bench get zero competitive football.

You are certainly not wrong Ev. it is a nice problem for the manager to have though.

What a good result. I had not expected that.
Was pleased to read in Scoop Pigott's report that Serge had a good game after I thought he was a little less effective at Ramsgate.
And that Ev thinks the performance matched the turning point started against Carshalton.
I like to see subs given a chance Ev. It gives them encouragement and after such a run they know they have to come on and make a difference..
Sorry I missed it
