To think we got rid of Craig. Has he got any idea?
Cannot fault the players, a goal down after just over a minute then a man down before half time. They came out in the second half all guns blazing. We had so many chances on goal but rarely troubled their goalkeeper. We were far the better side but lacked any cutting edge in the box. We have a good side and I am sure with another manager we could go places. Sorry Frank in my view, and I know it's not worth anything, you don't seem good enough.
Special mention must go to Ollie Treacher, always wanting the ball and always trying to press forward. Jaime and Antonio also deserve a mention, they ran their socks off, but really couldn't fault anyone. We ran the game in the second half and it had a cruel ending which we didn't deserve.
Frank talks about promotion as his priority well you have to beat the likes of Whitstable for a start. I suppose his excuse is going to be that we went down to 10 men! What will his next excuse going to be.

I felt the first half was as bad as some of the games when we came back down from our seson in the premier division, there was no energy in midfield, nobody seemed to be up for the game, and in fact had it not be for Sam playing a blinder in goal, making two superb saves when we were already a goal down, we could easily have gone in at half time , down by three or four.
Second half they came out a different team, the change on the left made a difference, suddenly we started to threaten their goal, but without that final cutting edge, goodness knows how many corners we had, at one time I think three or four in succession, but could not take advantage of them, at that point with it still being 1-0 you thought we could salvage something from this game, but the cruel hand of fate struck twice in the final minutes of the match, giving the scoreline a 3-0 defeat that our second haf display did not justify.
If we repeat our first half display next Saturday then we can say goodbye to the FA cup for another season, but surely we can not be that bad again.

The way it's going we will have no fans by the end of the season. Never seen so few today and Whitstable one of the better away venues. Frank is not the one to manage, have I seen a half decent game this season?

..........Never seen so few today............
I along with many, many, others were at Lords for the Royal London 50 over Cup Final..............and don't say we should be supporting our team at Whitstable in spite of that ! This was OUR cup final, one that Surrey have been striving for all season and one that true Surrey cricket fans would not miss for anything ! And, I know of a few others that had to work and some others who probably found the expense of travelling away with the team every other week just too much - you have to eat after all !
If not for that we would probably all have been down at Whitstable.
I apologised to Frank and Mark last week for the fact that a lot of us would not be there today due to the Cup final so my/our concsience is/are clear !
See you at Chatham on Tuesday then (I hope)

Just to clarify, crushed as I am with the whole business just as we seemed to be making real progress, I did not desert the team today.
Currently in Wales at a family special birthday.
Back for Chatham I hope although if we are putting in any 7 day approaches for replacement creative midfielders that will take time to finalise.

Have you deleted your many recent posts where you said how much you loved Frank and how we should all get behind him?
Surely you have Gary because the wind has changed direction and, as so often, so have you.

To be fair to me DeePee, I thought that getting rid of Craig was wrong. We were playing mostly good flowing football. I know we didn't progress much but thought he deserved another season. So I wasn't in favour of this new manager but haven't said anything until now. The football has not been a patch on last season. I am prepared to eat my words though. But surely I am allowed an opinion!

Very sadly, from a league position, we didn't make any progress at all Benchy.
And that was with a 30 goal striker.
As you know, I greatly enjoyed our passing game under Craig, whatever the result.
And I was much relieved when we (eventually) found something more like it this season.
Now we have to start again without Bill M.
Yet another new challenge \ adventure in the life of T&M eh.
Hopefully it will be an interesting journey - starting tonight?

I agree with Bondy. When Craig's style of playing football worked it was great. Sadly it did not work often enough with opposing teams seemingly having no problem in closing it down. I could not see us getting promotion playing that way however good it looked. We finished Craig's second season lower in the league with less games won and less goals scored then in his first season, and that is not good enough. If we were knocking on the door of the playoffs, progress would have been made. Having said that though, I was all in favour of giving him until Christmas to modify his tactics and improve the teams position.
