I've been led to believe Adriano Moraes the Brazilian centre-back ( he of the tasty mum ) could be making his first start for us at South Park tomorrow. Our defence hasn't been functioning quite as efficiently of late, culminating in Tuesday's debacle ( I work in a bathroom warehouse so I recognise a busted flush when I see one ) so hopefully Adriano will add a bit of steel.
I'm praying he plays so I can say I knew about it before Gary Walker.......nerr,nerr,nah,nerr,nerr

It will be interesting to see who he leaves out. The manager has basically stuck with the Simeone/Siaw partnership all season - possibly one of his better managerial calls as the centre back partnership is key.
But whether either of those two would slot into full back, I don't know. I suppose he could go with the 3 centre back option although I don't think we have the full backs/wing backs that would suit that formation.

Excuse me "Cricket" but their would not happen to be another reason for your positive mood would their.

You don't mean the prospect of 3 points and a clean sheet do you Ash ?
I've got to be very careful what I write Ashtree. Unlike your good self who is clearly trying to land me in the klartz.

You got it in one, what else could I have meant?
On a different tack, it will be interesting who Frank will drop down to sub, or as has been mentioned will he have three in the centre and go for a more defensive stance.
After Tuesday`s debacle, team selection will be interesting as nobody covered themselves with glory , but if they play well tomorrow, who know`s what can happen.
I would not mind seeing the Chendlik Byatt parterniship again with Leon behind as he does have an eye for a pass and given time that could prove positive for the team, but unfortunately, time I would have thought, is very limited.

I'll stick my neck out and say that I don't think Leon should be a regular first XI starter. Yes, he is an exciting player and yes, he does look to have talent. But I think he is a bit one dimensional at the moment and despite looking good, doesn't often provide any end product.
I think regular substitute appearances and the odd start would help his development.

For me its quite easy who to drop. If the goalkeeper was dropped for a couple of mistakes, then Simmo should be dropped for his many mistakes against Chatham

Can not disagree with you Geoff, but do you feel he was any worse than his fellow defender`s, let`s face it some of the goals were the kind of goal you would see scored over the Figges Marsh ( when they played football there that is)
See you tomorrow.

If Frank were to drop players on the basis of making too many mistakes against Chatham, Adriano would be playing on his own tomorrow.
Make him welcome fellas, he'll be a really good bloke to have around the place.....aswell as the added bonus of his mu........errrrr, his much vaunted aerial ability.

Well corrected

What of the other 3 signings? Are they going to play?I go for the 5-3-2 line up,or call it 3-5-2 as us in the know call it.I saw on my Drogba manager game. And if the Army bloke brings a tank we can blast holes through their defence.Sorry I'm not going now,but I'm sure my son will tell all about it.

I feel your summing up of "Simmo" is a bit harsh, considering he and "Daryl" have been the bedrock of our defence this season, I do not think anybody came out of Tuesdays game with any credit, also one bad game does not make you a bad player.
Offline
Not necessarily.
You may think you do.
Just because you say you are does not mean it is true, lets face it, anybody can claim anything on a forum without having to prove it.
I do not know whether you attend many games or if you attended today`s, but "Simmo" like the rest of his teamates was back to his best, the scoreline did not do justice to their fighting performance.

What was our line-up today, guys?
