Sunday's NLP has an article with QI facts and figures about clubs competing in the EPR next Saturday, The reference to T and M claims they last exited the FA Cup at that stage. in 1935/36. However, the 1987 centenary booklet produced by Ian Bullock shows that while we lost our only match (1-2 to Woking) it was in the P Round not the EP. According to the booklet we made 3 appearances in the EP in the 1930s doing rather well with 10-3,5-0 and 5-0 victories.Do post-1987 researches and official records clarify what happened in 1935-36?

Good spot Mike. I have just checked the newspapers of the time and it was indeed an extra preliminary round. It means a few of us will have to update our records!!!

Incidentally, Mike, which other Extra Preliminary results were there. I only think there were 2 others.

According to the booklet 1934-35 Home v Wellington Works W 10-3; 1937-38 Away v Cranleigh W 5-0; 1938-39 Home v Cranleigh W 5-0.
