Congratulations to the scum which caused this further damage to our team!

The Knock-on effect being demoted to level 5 of the football pyramid, Tooting now finds its self-downgraded to play in  The FA Vase which is open to level 5 and 6 teams.

Long before the major re-structuring of Football in this country Tooting had a lean time in the early 2000’s and were placed in the Vase competition. On one occasion they reached the quarter finals of this tournament.  Basically, it’s now a trophy comp for grassroots football capturing teams from villages/ small towns / parks/ farmyards and generally encompasses junior football teams.

The team once had a glorious past in cup football, but now after recent season can’t fight their way out of a paper bag, with some really embarrassing results.

There is one positive if they get relegated to level 6 next season, they will still be able to enter a national competition!

The Team built to Fail by the Fat Controller and Mr confidentiality.

I don't know who plays in the FA Vase these days but we had some great away trips in that competition back in the early 2000's, Taunton, Arnold Town etc, great days.

Andy I agree, but the Vase comp has hanged dramatically from those days!

Ascot United from Combined Counties League north which they won by a huge margin went on to  win won the FA Vase  Comp today beating Newport Pagnell.  Their promotion means they will replace Tooting in Isthmian South Central Division. Really nice to  watch 2 proper football teams which were well supported for this level of football,  This game was followed by the FA Trophy final which was light years ahead of the Vase final in quality and technique.
