Major Deal Successfully Completed with London Interspace and Active England
In the past few months the committee has been in negotiation with London Interspace and Active England to come up with a deal that will secure the future of the football club.
Since the move from Sandy Lane the club has done everything in its power to secure its future at Bishopsford Road. All concerned had hoped that a contract for the franchises would have been found by now, but this has proved to be very difficult to achieve. Although it has been successful with the all weather pitches, it has struggled to survive financially.
The new deal which has been set up between London Interspace and the club will mean that the football club will now work in partnership with LI and Active England. Active England is a government body which has been set up to promote sport in deprived areas and the proposal is that the four units will be let-out offering this facility. This will be a commercial venture with London Interspace managing the franchises together with Active England`s and the Football clubs input.
The franchises are phase one of the proposal with a view to phase two, the reserve team pitch being completed and used by the football club and the community, and finally phase three which will be to build a stand on the waste land side of the ground with a sports complex behind. This is a long term project, but would look to be completed within the next seven years.
The board of directors of the organisation, which will be made up of two representatives from London Interspace, one from Active England and one from T&M, will decide the running of activities excluding football. The football will remain in Tooting`s sole control. This will work by a budget being set within the organisation which will be discussed and n

Yes
Fair point Tim
The original "hub vision" was what the unincorpoated association merged with a private limited company called Tooting & Mitcham Sports & Leisure Limited.
It was billed as "A merger of interests to achive the vision of the hub"
Well the "hub vision" or "vision of the hub" has not been achieved so there is a quite simple solution
DE MERGE
Bill Hill wanted the FA share to revert back to members but this was kicked into touch by Chris Woolley
Everybody needs to be reminded of what Chris Woolley and Martin Hazelwood said to members on 2nd June 2005 which was as follows:-
The Vision for The Club and The Hub
We see this will enshrine the following principles:
1. Total transparency between Club and Hub
2. A one cost centre with a unified administration operated on a strictly not for profit basis.
3. The active participation of the Club and all its members in the running of the Club and the Hub to the greater good of both.
4. A substantial growth in the Membership of the Club brought about by the appeal of the Club as a committed partner to users of the Hub.
5. The provision of key local resources the Concept behind which is already attracting interest from other clubs as pioneer and model.
6. The challenge is to make Tooting & Mitcham United FC the best semi-professional club in the land, one built on sound foundations of good practice in all matters.
YES IT IS LAUGHABLE NOW BUT WHAT I CANNOT ACCEPT IS THAT Chris Woolley is still in there lying, cheating and doing his upmost to totally destroy a once great foolball club.
Did the last person who left last night remember to turn the lights out?

Will the club be announcing who the current chairman is?
Will there be an announcement soon?

With the members club having an EGM tomorrow night to try and pursuade their members to help them to start hammering the last few nails into a once great club`s cofin, will there be anybody at this meeting with enough backbone to stand up and question the lies of Chris Woolley?
I think not.
The members club do not allow critisism of any kind whatsoever.
Will the last person to leave the club tomorrow night please turn the lights out.

I have every respect for Banstead Football Club
However it is a pity you and people like you are letting the members club slowly destroy what great people like Jack Beard started to build in 1932.
Do you not remember when Roberto Forzoni was SACKED
On the members club` wonderful website they falsly claimed that Roberto has resigned
A sort of Banstead in reverse
Anyway enjoy your EGM on Friday and enjoy hammering another nail in the coffin
Vote to hand over the shares to Zonecross Limited, why don`t you?
I hope you and all the people like you are happy with your part in doing your best to destroy what decent people started to build over eighty years ago.
Will the last person to leave the club on Friday please turn the lights off.

As with most things you post on this forum, you are talking out of your rear end.
Tooting & Mitcham`s manager, Danny Lee, was NOT sacked by Banstead, he left after taking charge of the last nine games of their 2012-2013 season.
When Mark Beard was sacked as TM United`s manager in December 2010, Danny Lee was offered the job. He declined but did act as caretaker manager before Kenny Brown was appointed by TM United.

Your reply is mostly correct
But the bit about "the Law" needs clarification.
You are RIGHT that individual members are personally responsible for any debts and contractual obligations - SO if the members were persued for either would it not be LEGAL PROCEEDINGS that would take place? So "the Law" of the land regarding litigation would recognise the UNINCORPORATED ASSOCIATION.
The Inland Revinue and Her Majestys Customs and Exsise recognise UNINCORPORATED ASSOCIATIONS and both have many registered with them for Tax purposes.
And then there is the small matter of the Football Authorities. Any football club has to have an entity and the Football Association have a blue print "constitution" that can be used by any club wanting an unincorporated association as it`s entity.
It is not compulsory for a club that has an unincorporated association as it`s entity, to use the FA`s blue print constitution, but anything other than their blue print must be approved including any changes made from time to time.
Tooting and Mitcham Football Club was formed on 25th March 1932 to facilitate a proposed amalgamation between Tooting and Mitcham Wanderers Football Clubs.
The amalgamation took place on 11th April 1932.
There have been many changes to the constitution of this unincorporated association since, including two name changes.
All the changes that HAVE taken place to this constitution since this unincorporated association was formed on 25th March 1932, HAVE been approved by the football authorities.
However it should be noted that the proposed "change" to the constitution that was supposedly approved by it`s members on 25th July 2005 was most definately NOT approved by the football authorities. It was rejected by both the Ryman League and the FA.
Before I tell you more why don`t you ask the members club for clarification of why the Ryman League and the FA refused to allow the proposed "change" to the constitution.
While we all wait for a responce from t

Stan Churchillman v Chris Woolley
I read with interest to posting from Stan Churchilman titled “More lies from Chris Woolley” and decided to investigate who was really lying and who was telling the truth.
I need some confirmation from the members club, but at the moment it appears that nothing Stan Churchillman has said is not true.
Having said that, the members club can dispute some points that I have not been able to establish.
Firstly I can not find anything to support Stan Churchillman`s claim that the article on the members club website about the members club “history” is in fact written by Chris Woolley.
So can the members club please confirm who the author of this “history” is?
What I can confirm is that neither Martin Hazelwood or Alan Simpson were ever chairman of T&MUFC so quite clearly whoever the author of this “history” is, is lying.
There is also this thing about the unincorporated association never being wound up. Can the members club please confirm?
It is claimed in the “history” that the members club was formed to protect the members liability but I have established that the members club was incorporated on 30th June 2005 and the entity name of T&MUFC changed on 1st September 2005 from the unincorporated association to Tooting & Mitcham Sports & Leisure Limited.
So the claim on the members club site is not true and Stan Churchillman`s dates are correct.
Clearly there are things being claimed by the members club that are quite simply NOT TRUE.
Can we please have a statement from the members club SOON?

With no members club AGM due until 2015 everybody is going to have to settle for these wonderful people with their wonderful website for another couple of years.
Posted on their wonderful website on 26th May 2013 was the following:-
"We understand all your frustrations and promise to bring some news as soon as we can. We are working our hardest to see the club move ahead next season.
We can assure you that no one associated with the football club wants to see anything other than success so securing the level of finance required is essential.
Just keep watching this space and if anyone has something positive to contribute, please make contact"
WELL
IT SEEMS THAT THERE ARE CONTRIBUTORS TO THIS FORUM THAT HAVE "positive" IDEAS
SO WHY NOT "make contact"?

There was an AGM in January this year, when everybody was told that there would be an announcement soon.
We are all still waiting
The previous AGM was held in 2011
Logicly the next AGM will be in 2015
So a manager being appointed before the next AGM is not really that positive

On 1st September 2005 there was a merger of interests between Tooting and Mitcham United Football Club and their landlord, Tooting & Mitcham Sports & Leisure Limited.
The merger of interests was to achieve "Vision of The Hub"
So the question is:- Has the "Vision of The Hub" been achieved?
