The Barmy Bog End Army » Further thoughts of long standing suffering fan Stefan » 22/9/2024 8:03 am

Regulars to the site may remember my email of the 7/8/2024. Well, let’s get real!

Another cup exit, another defeat, dropping down our league and still no recognised striker,
with minimum support by our midfield.  It’s time to get real Tooting & Mitcham.

The results can’t continue. A change of management must surely be considered or lose
the support of the supporters who are not getting value for their money, watching their
team who have forgotten to score goals, and let’s them in the other end!

It’s as simple as that! If the results are not forthcoming, then the manager must go or
embrace boring football for the rest of the season. I’m personal not going to tolerate
that which is a shame, supporting a club since the days of Richard Cadette when
football was exciting and when we attracted players that had a desire and a want to
win attitude.  Attitude is everything, and if a player and management doesn’t have it,
along with the talent a player should have to play at this level, then serious talks need
to be had with player and management alike, and if a resolution can’t be found, then
one needs to be shown the door, for the benefit of the long-suffering supporter and the
club itself.  The club can’t endure another relegation battle at the end of the season!

The Barmy Bog End Army » The despairing thoughts of Stefan » 04/8/2024 9:57 pm

As previously requested, I have been requested by long time passionate supporter Stefan to post this message on his behalf.

Something is fundamentally wrong, when year after year, our football club (Tooting & Mitcham ) continues
to fail at the first hurdle of the FA Cup and in the league itself.

You only need to look at the very top of our club and down to see why.

I ask a straightforward question, if you were running a business would you like to see it keep failing year after year,
with staff (players and management) keep coming and going, with no plan or idea how to put things right.

In the case of T&M something needs to change and change fast.

The supporters can see it, but can the club see it and are they really bothered to do something about it ?
Not on the evidence of today’s result. Not on the evidence on the amount of trialist who have featured this summer,
and the results achieved, poor to say the least. Who is the team ?  Are they good enough for this league ?
Should they consider retirement ?  So, may questions that lead to the question – Does management know what they
are doing ? Should we not have a recognised striker by now ?  Why should I spend good money and time watching a team,
that have no desire, no self-belief, a poor attitude on and off the pitch, a team that will untimely fail, because there is no
plan to win, and that was born out by today’s result.

Football is a serious business and if players and management fail to understand how important it is to do well in the
FA Cup, then they might as well pack up their bags and go home. There is no place for losers in this competition or
the league itself .  Not if you want supporters to return to the stands and get behind their team. And after so many
exceptionally poor seasons (far too many for me to remember) then a change at the top and down will need to
happen, but we all know that will never happen and the team will continue to flounder. Prove m

The Barmy Bog End Army » Tooting out of the FA Cup » 09/8/2023 3:32 pm

Hi Paul, the extent of the fall out for getting relegated to the   dregs  and obscurity of  lowly  level 5 football still keeps giving.

With Tooting even disappearing from the Football Pages website, except under special circumstances, team sheets including subs, and attendances are not available on a live basis! The score last night was only updated a day after the event. However, according to  the FA website the attendance was declared as 135,  there was no attendance recorded for the away game at Newham.

Yet again The club has lost and opportunity to bring the sponsorship money rewards for appearing in the FA Cup as the rounds progress. But as we know from past experience the rewards would only be offset against the allocated budget.

The combined Counties league administration is hopeless, so info on games will be difficult to obtained on a timely basis.  The embarrassment of being dumped out  so early from this competition is a disgrace to the name of Tooting & Mitcham United.

Anyway congratulations to  Adkins, Woolley, Shaw, The Members Club and Cox director  of Football who knows squat all on the subject Cox  that well known director of Football , who actually knows  squat all on the subject.

And last of all Bosah who lead the team to  disaster with the help of the above, and hung on to the bitter end and showed no shame when he should have gone months earlier.

What a state.

Since 2005:  Quote “The challenge is to make Tooting & Mitcham United FC the best semi-professional club in the land, one built on sound foundations of good practice in all matters!! (You can’t make this up lol)

Welcome Roger D, I have approved your participation on this forum despite the fact you did not answer one of the questions correctly awaiting approval. Not sure how long you have been supporting the club, but the answer FA Cup was wrong!

Long time avid fan Stefan asked me to  post his notes which he was going to  raise at last nights farcical meeting. I understand the meeting was exactly as predicted, and clearly no one cares about team team and it's demise to  junior football.

Your incompetence of not listening to the supporters, keeping faith with a failing manager, season after season, and a Chairman who wants what he sees, is an insult to the supporters of this club and their intelligence how this club has been managed and it's too late now to do anything about it, because you would [/co

Hi Dan, thanks for update on Brassneck, I remember his postings, no comment. The situation gets worse.

Well, Well Steve Reynolds is in involved with this forum meeting. This geezer put me through the hoops to  get onto  the forum, and I had to hold back and protect the forum users  due to his email suppliers  having a scam record ! Gary Walker contacted me to  vouch for him and let him join the forum. I sent a message to  SR to  apply again but never heard anything. What a waste of time and space!

This forum meeting goes from bad to  worse.

The Barmy Bog End Army » Fans Forum Thursday 30th March 8-9pm » 24/3/2023 7:22 am

I honestly cannot see any point of the fan’s forum with the management team, there have been many of these useless waste of time meetings over the years which have only provided the fans to vent their frustrations without any action being taken, because of the strangled hold structure and the so called “Project “which runs this Football Team.

A fans forum with Woolley and Adkins would have been appropriate, but you can’t “Shut the Gate after the horse has bolted”.  I repeat my previous messages, the team was built to fail when the Members Club was incorporated and the existing Tooting and Mitcham United Football Club Ltd was disbanded to create this mess.

What is this meeting going to achieve, it cannot change anything!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Another fan has sent me his views on yesterday's gameI went to the dreadful game. I feel I witnessed at least one if not two teams going down this season.  It was nice to catch up with a ex K's and Dulwich player Toni and his son. I left feeling really upset . More than I thought I would with the players on show which are just not good enough.  This would be no surprise to anyone who goes regularly.  I left feeling really sad on how the owner and management have let the club just run down in such a way.
After the game the owners have turned the lights off in the car park which for me is very dangerous.  Cars reversing out of spaces not being able to see pedestrians. The money they are saving on electricity will be small compared to the money they will be sued if there is an accident.  Disgusting behaviour! Just shows how little they now care now they have their planning permission.

Loyal Supporter  Stefan has requested I post his views of yesterday's match on the forum.

Strange one this. I was at the match where we won 1-0 against Guernsey, but our play once again was terrible!

We played against a team that had a number of 16 / 17-year-olds which we should have beaten them by more than one goal!

The Barmy Bog End Army » HAPPY CHRISTMAS » 24/12/2022 7:24 pm

Happy Xmas to all Bogenders, and thank you for the support you have given this forum, and for Gary Walker’s hard work maintaining this forum until recently. And thank you to all those long-time supporters who have given up on the club over the last few years but still view this forum. Those very long serving volunteers who have given unbelievable service over many years, thank you for your efforts on keeping the football team functioning.

I wish everyone a very productive, success and Happy New year, despite the owner and the members club looking for any excuse or blame game for winding the football team up! This would not be the first time.

Long suffering fan Stefan requested I posted the message below on his behalf after last result.

=11ptHow can anybody of sane mind, tolerate such defeats without considering replacing the currentmanager and management team. In any football club, the management would have gone andbeen replaced with fresh impetuous and a will to get the problem fixed, without relying onplayers that are simply not up to the task and where they themselves need inspiration. If they believe they are footballers, then just take a look at the division they are in and wherethey sit in the league, and ask themselves ‘Am I good enough for this league, and should I makeway for somebody better then myself’ and the same thought should be considered by the manager,if only for the sake of the supporters of our fine club who quite frankly have had enough of watchingfootball, not even worthy of the league below them.   Enough of this nonsense and taking our supporters for fools.  Action needs to be taken now if youwant our long-lost supporters to return to the terraces, because without change its not going to happenand the club will be relegated. No question about that!

The Barmy Bog End Army » Staunch supporter Stafan sends a heartfelt message » 16/10/2022 7:34 pm

Stefan who does not use social media, requested I post this message on his behalf. Stefan is a “Die Hard” supporter of many years.

I was there yesterday, and I would agree with Dan.  Tooting play was boring and without skill, flair, or imagination, and with only one striker up front what does that say about our current team.  It has come to the point that I am now questioning myself as a season ticket holder, why do I subject myself to this pain and suffering, watching my team play pathetic football when our manager Ashley Bosah can’t raise his voice in frustration seeing his team collapse, time and time again, with his arms folded, just watching and saying nothing. Does he not know how the team supporters on the terraces are thinking? Can he not tell that they are fed up watching a team who can’t put a ball between two sticks?  Who can’t shoot, pass, or have the courage to do something
different? Quite frankly they are just not good enough for this league and nor is their manager.

He should do the decent thing and resign because he takes sole responsibility for the team he puts in, week in and week out. And if you’re continually failing, why should any self-respecting person tolerate such losses as we have experienced this season. If I was an employer, why would I put up with somebody who is not fulfilling their position and doing what is expected of them.
Enough is enough, let’s get real here. If you keep doing the same thing, you are going to get the same result and that’s what our manager is doing.

Hoping anybody new is going to make the difference. However, we know that unless you eat and sleep the business, that will work in time. However, when your just
chucking players in without doing due research, hoping that a miracle will take place, well, forget it. It will not happen. But we know that you have to look further up, to see the real problems why it’s going horribly wrong on the football

Poddington, your poor brain must have been working overtime on your response to the to Dan and Ev's  comments.

1. I think Ev and Dan were referring to the July version of the website, not June. Other clubs are now full of info on players and pre-season performances in July.

2.: As for mocking a fan with severe mental conditions for many years which is controlled by medical drugs, but still posted coherent and factual postings is absolutely disgraceful and disgusting. In fact he did not leave the forum because of how it affected him. Read my posting properly forum posting before you make such such comments.....He left because in his words  "The Club has Gone!. Like so many before him both fans and volunteers he had enough. Also what makes you think Gary is a friend of mine, another assumption from your overworked brain!

3. Secondly, Why should  I and others tone down our postings because of Gary departure from this forum, assumptions again!. .

I regret to advise that Gary Walker has requested to  be removed from the forum which he administered for many years. As some of your know, Gary has some severe medical issues which from time which take a toll on his thinking and feelings. Gary has followed the club he loves over many years  He now wants to relinquish all association with the club, which is a sad day, and yet another loyal fan moving on.

The consequences of deleting Gary's user name, has removed all his postings from this forum. The latest one being "How's your season going."  I hope all of you who have wished this on him, are delighted that another great fan and indeed a volunteer are now happy with all all your remarks!

If Gary want's to  return at any time, I will be the first to welcome him. Back with open arms.

A message from Tooting fanatic Stefan
I am so disappointed! Every T&M player should hold their head in shame for the performance they gaveon the pitch today.  They could not find their passes, shoot on goal affectively, go round players andmore importantly score a goal, even when we were awarded a penalty!

But their biggest culprit was their manager Ashley and his team, who could not find the energy to explain in no certain terms that the team is heading for relegation if they could not put a better 2nd half together. Could they, hell not,  they couldn’t find the opposition net even if they wanted too, that’s how bad they were today.

And the =11ptmanager and his team should look at themselves and say to themselves, are we fit to manage the teamon performances like today and throughout the season ?   Why did we let go our top striker Dan Williams go ?  Why did our managers, play over 50 players this season ?   What were their negotiation skills likein trying to keep players at our club ?  Do our managers show any respect for our player’s, and do they care ?   Well, it a sad day for the club, but more for the poor suffering supporter, who had to watch this rubbish today. A fresh start is needed but I will not be there at the terraces to watch them next season if they go down, because above all, I have lost all respect to the jokers who run our club believing it can’t be happening, but itis unfortunately and we are going down unless a major miracle happens overnight, and the management getsleave of their senses.
